I experienced Benoit Capitaine as a very competent and helpful instructor. He has an incredible knowledge and such an enthusiasm for diving that I will gladly complete the next training courses with him again. He taught the exercises in a calm and pleasant way and even sent me video recordings of how I did the exercises after the course. With Ben you can feel that diving is for him a vocation and not just a profession. Accordingly, he does not only limit himself in class to the material to be taught but also gives valuable advice on how to optimize the equipment or gives tips for other interesting diving destinations in Thailand.

I contacted ocean zone divers a few days before I was travelling to Thailand – Krabi.Even though it was with short notice Ben Capitaine responded fast and in a few days I had a program that would take me through the TDI cavern and Intro to cave courses. Ben did a perfect job at teaching the different skills and presenting the different challenges of cave diving. As I made progress he challenged me more and more and the scenarios got more complicated. Ben filmed every scenario so the evaluation of every dive was in depth and easy to relate to. A perfect setup where I always felt safe.Thank you Ben for introducing the world of caves to me.
I’m an open water scuba instructor and i contacted Ben Capitaine for an intro to cave course. Ben really quickly organized the course for me. The caves are 4 hours away from puket and the course usually runs for 2 full days. Ben came to pick me up early in the morning and we drove to a lovely accommodation close to Song Hong cave ( where I had my own amazing private bungalow).The weekend has been perfect, Ben went through lots of theory and practical skills. The 2 days course has not ment to be an easy one and Ben completely satisfied my expectations with his knowledge sharing , drills and exercises i had to go through. The last day we sneaked in even an extra dive in another little cave with Crystal clear water. I wish I had more time to learn from him and discover those amazing places.Thanks Ben!RegardsAndre
On January 10th, 2019 I visited Ocean Zone Divers/AOK diving for some technical fun dives. This is my second time diving with OZD team. OZD has moved since my last visit, the new location is the result of a recent collaboration between the 2 companies to offer a recreational and technical dive training and fun diving. On my last visit I completed the Adv. Nx and Deco Procedures courses alongside Dominic (Dom) Robnic with Benoit (Ben) Capitaine as our Instructor. Ben was quick to personally respond to my queries and arranged a complete itinerary for me. I was highly impressed with his quality of teaching and meticulousness of his training and hence decided to return for some more practice with the new gear.I completed 3 dives with Ben and 11 with Dom and found them, as always, to be very professional and organised. We were able to secure excellent spots on local boats that served good food/refreshments and had well trained staff. Twin-set and deco cylinders were supplied by the guys, I found all equipment to be well maintained and good quality. They were able to quickly offer me a spare second stage when Murphy showed up 5 mins before our first planned drop… Thanks Ben. Dom is extremely knowledgeable with respect to the local dive sites and we were able to be dropped at the depths we required to see some nice uncrowded sites. Dom’s diligence to the trade and customer service is evident in his helpful, attentive and energetic demeanour. I look forward to future dives with him to explore the rest that Phuket has to offer. The new premises are great there is a cafe that offers freshly ground coffee and homemade baked goods (some of the best that I have tried in Phuket), a retail space and training/workshop room and a large drying and washing area out the back. Andy O’Callaghan has done a great job setting up the dive centre and offers a unique service to the customers treating them like family, something seldom found these days. He assisted with washing, drying and packing of all my gear and arranged transport to Kamala for me.If you are planning any Training or fun diving from Recreational to Full Tech, I recommend using the AOK and Ocean Zone Divers team.

Ben is a fantastic! instructor, Holds high standards & provides vital tips. While he is very strict on diving procedures, he is also very caring as he even tended to a minor cut I had by personally dressing the wound. He picked me up from my hotel every day.I have learnt a lot from Ben & have made a good friend – for ever.
I did cave course with Ben and it was amazing. The knowledge he has is impressive and his passion for teach is contagious. If you are really interested to learn, ocean zone is the place to be. You will come out a much better diver after the course
