  1. Trained here for 2weeks with my boyfriend. The whole experience was amazing, there was no poncy, rich kids or pretty boys wanting to show off. Met an amazing group of down to earth people, the trainers were some of the loveliest people I’ll ever have the privilege to meet. Hiring/Borrowing pads and equipment was easy. Hiring a moped was easy too and the cheapest price around. The owner kittysak was very helpful and let us get water from the shop during training and pay later which was lovely because I was dying of thirst most days! The accommodation was such a good rate, simple rooms but they do for what you’re there for. Its about a two minute drive from Tiger Road. The training area has no air conditioning which I thought would be a major problem, but the more I trained the better I felt, its how real Thais train and it made me fitter and stronger and better adapted than other fancy gyms. There’s no air con if you’re having a fight in Thailand so why train with it? Overall I would 1000% recommend to anyone thinking of trading muay Thai in a traditional, cheap, happy and well run place. As a woman too I didn’t get treated any differently which was amazing, apart from I always got offered breakfast by my trainer 🙂 loviest people I’ve ever met. Please go.

  2. its 50/50 weather you get a good trainer or a bad one, if you have a bad one you may swell leave straight away as a lot of the trainers do not want to be there and do not help you at all, some of the trainers are very good and will take there time with you but at least half of them do not car about the training, one trainer called gerrard turned up drunk on the afternoons and a few people I’ve spoken to feel like the trainers would purposely injure them so they couldnt train

  3. I stayed at Suwit between 11 August 2016 – 10 September 2016. To say this experience was amazing is an understatement.Kittisak is the owner and he was great with everyone at the gym.You can hire mopeds off him directly cheaper than anywhere else. I paid 2,000THB for 3 weeks. The apartment I hired was basic but good for what I needed. The Wi-Fi is very fast which shocked me as I wasn’t expecting that. There is a well-maintained swimming pool there too. I used my air conditioning every single day and you electric bill was 1,100THB.The trainers are a mixed bag but you get 1:1 time with them. I trained with Seb which I also paid for extra sessions with too.Other great trainers includes Nala, Ron and Mau. The gym is NOT L.A fitness!!! It is a blood, spit and sweat gym. The gym is where you go to train and work hard. This place is not for posing or getting a top up on your tan. Tiger Road is Filled with those places if that’s what you’re looking for.Suwit Muay Thai has been such an incredible experience. I started as a complete beginner in Muay Thai and I was treated with every bit of respect as the ore seasoned fighters.I have made some lifelong friends there in Suwit too and I would actively encourage people to give this traditional place a chance. The stadium is old fashioned too.Suwit have a shop whereupon can buy wraps, shorts etc from for typical western prices. Good quality. Some of the equipment in the gym is tired but it gets the job done. Please take mosquito repellent with you though…the more you sweat, the more they attack you!You have the option to pay for food at Suwit cafe in advance. I took this option but it was false economy because I ate out a lot with my new friends. As a fighter at the gym you can attend fight night every Friday for free. Again, the stadium is old but filled with character. It’s a great evening out and you can get food there for about 140 THB. Well worth it.This place is filled with amazing memories for me and I really can recommend it for people who want to just train hard and work at developing themselves with highly knowledgeable trainers who still caught in stadiums themselves.

  4. We stayed at Suwit for 6 weeks and we were both complete beginners. Expectations from the website were that you would arrive 30mins before training and everyone would run/skip/stretch together.. reality is, if you turn up 30 mins before training there are no trainers there to tell you what to do. This is however through no fault of the trainers, the trainers were mostly excellent and always willing to go out of their way to help you, but the organization was lacking. The one on one time with your trainer was always very good -(depending on which trainer you had). One particular trainer would spend most of his time checking his phone, the rounds were shorter than they should have been, and he always left very early. Despite complaining about him it still took two weeks to get another trainer. Having said this, allthe other trainers seemed lovely and very helpful. Although reality didn’t match up to the expectations set by the website we still really enjoyed our time here and would consider returning. The accommodation and food is nice and very cheap however again on the website it did say that the accommodation gets cleaned every 2 weeks which isn’t the case, our accommodation wasn’t cleaned in the entire 6 weeks we were there. It’s difficult to clean it yourself as the brooms they provide were filthy and falling apart. All in all a good stay and we would probably return, the main trouble is the organization and the false expectations lined out to you in the website.

  5. I stayed here for a few days. Most people stay longer. I think it’s one of the cheaper muay thai gyms in the area (there are a lot). If I went back, I would go here and not to one of the ones with fancier equipment. The training is good – my trainer was this lovely guy, and I got a lot better here than I have done at the muay thai gyms in Bangkok. I guess it’s pretty easy to do a crap muay thai session for white people and charge them a lot for it. That’s not what happens at Suwit. Kittisak comes and checks pretty much every session (AM and PM) that everyone’s happy, and he speaks good English. The wifi at the accommodation was slow – you can’t watch Netflix.

  6. Suwit is a great place to get to know muay thai. The trainers are professional and there is a relaxed atmosphere. You get a lot of one-on-one time with them, and they will push you as hard as you want to go. It is an authentic Thai place, complete with a little shop and restaurant. In high season, the Suwit stadium is open every Friday night and you can see the fights for free. There are rooms at the gym itself, and around the corner there is a complex with rooms with AC and a swimming pool. The owner, Kittisak, is a friendly guy who will help you out if you have any problems. I stayed at the gym for 3 months and will definitely come back when I have the opportunity to. It was a home away from home and a wonderful experience. I highly reccomend it.

  7. Great for a workout – highly recommended for all ages and levels with some amazing and paitent thai trainers

  8. Suwit Muay Thai gym is not just a gym it’s a second home. Absolutely loved my time here for 5 weeks from Feb till March. Everyone was amazing and kind, the trainers were friendly and very helpful and all people training were also an awesome bunch. Like a family.. Is for all experience levels beginner or experienced.. Learnt so much here and will definitely be going back! Recommend to all.

  9. I’ve only been here for a week but it was the best decision I have made as an adult! I have never tried Muay Thai before and chose this gym because they seemed more serious and less commercial than some of them up the road. That was the right call. Kittisak Suwit and his entire operation run smoothly, cover ever need I may have (from food, lodging, training, and even transportation options) and the rooms have TVs with many many channels, some even in English. The trainers are incredibly nice and supportive. Sep (I wish I knew how to really spell his name) is my trainer and he keeps me on my toes and sweating like a fat kid chasing a Twinkie, but he has such a great humor about it. Mr Suwit overseas everything and you can tell he is very customer focused as he will watch to make sure all of his clients get good training. I have watched as he stepped in to change a trainer or give guidance. I’m just thoroughly pleased and can’t recommend enough!!! I’m already planning my next holiday here and I STILL HAVE THREE WEEKS LEFT ON THIS ONE!Kawpkoon Khrap!!!!

  10. Just finished 1 month of training here and I really loved it. The atmosphere is relaxed and the trainers are experienced and patient, while you can also laugh with them. I was an absolute beginner and learned a lot in my month of training, as well as losing 4.5 kg. The accomodation and location were very nice, because of the pool, private rooms (and bathrooms) and the amount of Thai restaurants in the area. Also, beaches, temples and viewpoints are very close. I would recommend it to everyone.
