  1. when you on holiday on koh samui you must go do have a dive. even when you can not dive you have to try it. easy divers offer you a lot off possibility’s and many different diving places. fauna and flora at its best. very good instructors, organisation, boat and ambiance. love you guys and girls.

  2. Friendly staff at Chaweng office. Big boat with a lot of space and good food. Equipment was good, friendly instructors: we felt safe.Sadly the weather conditions were bad and the ~3h boat ride was a little boring. Next time I wouldn’t go to Marine Park with the same weather conditions.

  3. I really enjoyed my trip with Easy Divers. They were organized and served very nice meals on the boat. All of the equipment that I used was nice and well maintained. All of the employees did their best to make sure everyone had a good trip. Water, tea, and coffee are free but sodas and beer are at an additional charge. Unfortunately the weather was bad and the dive site had low visibility. I am not sure what the Easy Divers could have done about this since the weather is not in their control but I was hoping there would have maybe been a more protected site from the weather.

  4. This is not a tour operator concerned with the overall safety and experience of the people they are bringing to dive sites. My family is in the fishing charter business in Alaska, and I liken this outfit of Easy Divers to the outfits I see in Alaska who only care about getting their income for the day. The decision to run out had to have been based purely on a desire to not refund anyone for the day. I kept hearing the excuse, “Weather is unpredictable.” Sorry guys – not in today’s day and age. With a quick scan of the internet, I found a service similar to that NOAA has (www.buoyweather.com); just look at that to get an idea for what sea conditions may be like. Never in my dreams did I expect an operator to ignore safety advisories, which were present yesterday! As a warning for others looking to find a dive shop on Koh Samui, I’ll describe a bit of our experience below. We were on what others writing reviews are calling the “big” boat. It was clear after about 10 minutes that no one was really concerned about water safety. No review of emergency procedures or safety gear was done… Not very professional, especially for a tour operator that was taking some first time divers out for an adventure dive. The day only got worse from there. Apparently, either no one checked the buoy forecast or they did and simply ignored it. By the time we arrived to the first dive site, there were 2m swells at a relatively frequent interval. Some swells were easily 2.3-2.5 m, though.  Even divers with some experience weren’t entirely comfortable getting back into the boat. I cannot believe someone was being asked to finish his open water dives here! Visibility was no more than 3-4m and there was a pretty good clip at the surface, so the poor kid had to work his tail off just to stay in one place before his instructor got back to him (his instructor just said “wait here” and then proceeded to dive down to anchor a buoy – this site was not anywhere near land – just a submerged pinnacle). Some of the dive masters were happy to take relatively new divers to depths well beyond recommended for newbies. No instructions were given to people on how to exit the water safely. The ladder on the back of the boat coud have killed someone as it slammed down into troughs. After a very short dive, I returned to the upper deck to find that passengers’ things had been tossed all over the place, as many did not have the experience to know that if it’s not tied down, it’s going to move. Someone lost their backpack – another lost over clothes. This was more than just “bad luck” with weather – this was a careless and risky decision that this dive operator made, and I would not recommend this operator to anyone at any experience level.

  5. Dived in December and the sea conditions were not good. Did a dive at South Western Pinnacles, and on surfacing conditions had deteriorated and we moved to Koh Phangan where conditions were diveable, although visibility very poor we did spot a number of nudibranchs. I did not do the third dive at this spot as it was already pretty dark; those that did dive decided afterwards that they had wasted their time. The meals on board were good, everything else was charged extra. The diving conditions would be the same for any operator diving that day. The only negative was the big old dive boat, although in a good condition, which was extremely slow. I was picked up at my hotel in Lamai at 7:00 and was only dropped off at 21;00, due to the long time taken to get to the dive sites. This I suppose would not be a problem were your partner also a diver, not left alone at the hotel. The use of a speed boat for a little extra is recommended, as one is back just after 16:00.

  6. My son had finally reached the age when he could dive, so he did his open water referral back in the UK, no one wants to waste your holiday in a classroom, I looked at a lot of dive centres, and Easy Divers kept coming up both on good reviews and price, I emailed them before I travelled and the communication was excellent, all my questions were answered and I even got an additional discount for booking in advance, I booked an open water referral for my son and a 2 day dive package for myself, all padi fees/equipment hire/and associated costs were included in the price, except your beers for the return journey :-). We booked the marine park (Thursday) and sail rock(Friday), be prepared for an early pick up, as all the dive sites are about 2hours away by boat, but before you recoil at the time, the boat is quite large plenty of room, you get a fried breakfast on the way out and lunch between the dives, overall a very relaxed experience , and a great opportunity to exchange stories with fellow divers, there’s also a sun deck on top, if you tan needs working on.With the boat being quite large I was concerned as it was my sons first open water, and there were a number of resort courses on board, but all my fears were allayed, the groups were no more than 4 to 1 max and the departure from the boat was staggered and the boat had 3 exit points. My son instructor was Yves, all I can say is excellent couldn’t of hoped for better,The whole experian was great from start to finish, my only suggestion would be if you do book sail rock be prepared for it to be very busy, but if you do the big easy trip on Tuesday, which you get 3 dives for the same price as 2, sail rock is the last dive and is in the afternoon, by this time most other boats have left for the day.I thoroughly enjoyed my time with easy divers and will defiantly use them again when in koh samui

  7. There must be something in the water in Koh Samui – my experience with the dive shops here would seem to indicate that, at best, they’re badly run and only interested in occasional tourist divers or those who are diving for the first time, while at the beach – and basically don’t know any better, have nothing to compare it with, and are diving for the first time so “everything’s fantastic”, cash cows… At worst they’re slip shod, lackadaisical, fly by the seat of the pants, make it up as they go along, cavalier, cowboys. Having been left nonplussed and unimpressed with my experience with Calypso Diving (also recently reviewed…) I walked into Easy Divers on the morning of Tuesday 21st Oct and booked a 4 dive package with them for Thursday and Friday to Sail Rock and Marine Park. I had also wanted to dive, the following morning, on the Wednesday but was told that they wouldn’t be taking the boat out (that should have been a warning right there…)I have my own gear so they invoiced me 6,500 Baht for the 4 dives and asked for payment up front – which I declined (been there before…!!), so I was asked for a 2,000 Baht deposit and paid 1,000 baht.Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. I received a message that they were not going to be taking the boat out the following day…!! That left me precious little time to try and make alternative dive arrangements with another dive shop… I frantically rang around but couldn’t sort anything out… so that was Thursday wasted for diving… To put it mildly, I was not amused… rang them back and cancelled the remaining two dives on Friday…The following day, Thursday afternoon, having calmed down somewhat I rang Easy Divers again to confirm: (a) if they would definitely be taking the boat out the following morning, Friday, and (b) if I could complete the 4 dive package, for which they’d invoiced me, on the Saturday.I was categorically assured that both would be the case (I asked the question 3 times and was answered affirmatively, three times…!!) – the boat would definitely go out on both Friday and Saturday.Friday morning I get up at 6.15 for a 6.45 pick up and get dropped off at their Big Buddah dive shop for transfer to the boat. I’m then asked to pay 4500 for the day’s diving before we leave – so I pointed out that I was holding an invoice for a 4 dive package at 6,500 and was supposed to be diving both Friday and Saturday. At that point I’m then told – “oh we’re not going to take the boat out tomorrow, we’re just taking it out today…”I was initially flabbergasted and then I thought the woman behind the desk was joking…. When I realised she wasn’t joking I had a sense of humour failure… I pointed out to her I’d been left hanging by them on the previous Wednesday and I had then been assured by them the previous day that they would not repeat the exercise and that I could dive Friday and Saturday; yet here we were again, not even 24 hours later, with them leaving me hanging again…If they’d known the previous day that they wouldn’t be going out Saturday why had they assured me , three times, that they would be. If they’d told me otherwise I could have made other arrangements for diving both days.Frankly I was incandescent and at that point there was no way I was going to get on their boat, and as angry as I was it really wouldn’t have been wise to go diving in that frame of mind anyway, so I asked for my money back, picked up my gear and walked out.Last week I was in Koh Lanta and had 15 dives over 5 days; this week between the muppets at Calypso Diving and Easy Divers I’ve been in Koh Samui for 5 days and still haven’t manged to get wet once…All I’ve experienced is a bunch of cowboys acting in a completely cavalier manner with other people’s time and money…Again I have to wonder what all these positive reviews Easy Divers have received on TripAdvisor are all about because my experience at their hands was nothing short of deplorable…

  8. had a great dive with Peter, heaps of fun, professional and safe. Shore diving is not my favourite thing but Peter made it fun and easy
