  1. This is the only place in Chiang Mai where you should be a suit. They’re very accommodating, the service is amazing, and their work is exceptional. I bought a suit and shirt from them and I’m very pleased with the whole experience. The quality is very high and you can’t beat their prices.

  2. Very fine service and very friendly, helpful staff. I would highly recommend Thai Inter Fabrics for all ladies and men’s tailoring.

  3. This was my third visit to Thai Inter Fabrics. This last visit was due to losing two suits in a Dry Cleaners fire.I waited till my next visit to Thailand to make sure I got the quality that was needed. The suits and the service are world class. The fit is superb, time and care are taken to produce bespoke suits that I am confident to wear in any company.Fashion advice and tips are offered freely…Make them your priority when you require some sharp threads.

  4. Excellent costumer service, always greeted with water and a friendly chat. Patience is the key at this place. They don’t rush the design, doing up to 3 fittings if needed and always taking on board your opinions. You get the suit you want not the one they want you to have! Highly recommend if staying in Chiang Mai for more than 3 days.

  5. The people at this place have very good communication skills. They, like everyone else, try to get you to buy something from them one way or the other. You can bargain a little before coming to an agreement. After buying a two piece suit here, I found many, many others with cheaper prices. I don’t know if the quality would have been the same, but the quality of the one I got was excellent. It is definitely not one of the cheapest places I found. The process of taking measures and making the suit was fast and easy, and they save your measures in case you want to offer more suits in the future, and they can ship it to you.

  6. This is officially my first posting on trip advisor mainly because of how pleased I am with my suit. I was hesitant to get a suit in Thailand as I was concerned about going to the wrong place or getting ripped off. I was told to go here by two local Thai gentlemen who approached my wife and I on the streets. The Thai people have been so welcoming and both recommended this place as a location that they personally get their suits. I was not disappointed. These suits were made from scratch to fit my body and after the first measurements needed zero alterations. The quality is amazing and the price is great! The best part is the owner said they would keep my measurements on file and mail me future suits for free. I got really excited and will definitely be ordering more suits in the future.Thank you so much Thai Interfabrics!

  7. Long story short, they lied to me about the fabric my suit would be made from (I was told cashmere and wool but it was knockoff polyester), made excuses for why it happened and how she will get in trouble if I ask for a refund or she will have to pay for it herself blah blah blah, finally told me they’d approve a refund (knowing I’d be conveniently out of the country by then), and are now disputing that any fraudulent activity took place. BUYER BEWARE, THEY ARE SCAMMERS WHO WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOUR MONEY IN EXCHANGE FOR A CHEAP PRODUCT!Please for the sake of your sanity and hard-earned money, avoid this place.I felt very safe visiting this shop having seen only positive reviews but a watchful eye revealed the scam for what it was. A friendly Thai stranger on the street will probably suggest this place to you to make it seem like such a spontaneous coincidence (fooled me until it happened twice and their stories didn’t line up, but it was already too late). Once you arrive they are so polite and accommodating and tell you you can choose every part of the suit and they do anything you want until you’re satisfied and that you’ll get a great suit made of cashmere and wool. Suddenly once you pay they whip this thing together and make excuses about altering it to your preference and say it looks fine how it is (after you’ve already paid 50% of the $$ upfront. I was suspicious and asked for a fabric sample because if you burn it and it melts it means you’ve got polyester, which is essentially a type of plastic (I have a Chemistry minor). Guess what happened when I burned it?? It melted! First she tried to shoo me away since another customer was in the shop who she didn’t want to catch wind of the scandal unfolding. I insisted this be handled immediately to which she went through the textbook of every possible excuse about how it happened and why I could not have a refund despite the fact I WAS LIED TO and sold a product that was totally different than what I paid for. When buying a nice suit, the vast majority of the expense is for the fabric. This is where they attempt to fool you to make a quick buck off you. After wasting over an hour of my vacation with her she said to just file a refund with the credit card company and she would tell her boss to approve. Fortunately I’m not so gullible and insisted she write and sign a note about what really happened, which she finally did with extreme reluctance. I am still trying to sort this out with my credit card company which has been a nightmare. I included a photo proving that the fabric is a fake knockoff. Notice the branding “Laificio”. There’s a real Italian fabric supplier called “Lanificio” which they are obviously trying to disguise their poor polyester fabric as. Also 180 thread count cashmere and wool would be verrrry expensive…another obvious trick by Thai Inter Fabrics.

  8. Kung is a great tailor! I am a return customer. She takes the time and offers as many fittings as needed to ensure that you get a high quality suit that fits you perfectly. Low pressure, and good fabric selection… I will return again! You can find tailors that charge less, but they will not give this quality of service…

  9. At the end, we ended up with some great clothes which we really like (her a silk dress, him a cotton jacket). The service was great and as we had to leave before the final item was ready it was sent on promptly. This was all great. That said, as per another reviewer, we were ‘recommended’ to visit by two Thai men who we ‘bumped into’ whilst walking around temples who were also ‘on holiday’ in Chiang Mai – they pretty much put us in a tuktuk and sent us to the shop. This felt like more of a con setup, but in the end the service and quality made it worthwhile.

  10. I love traveling to Thailand as a getaway from my busy life in the states and on one of my recent trips in September 2016 I came across a tailor shop across from the Governor’s mansion in the Chiang Mai District. The shop, called Thai Inter Fabrics, is conveniently located at Thanon Charoen Prathet Chang Moi 50300 which is just off the outskirts of the famous Ping River in town. When you visit Thailand you will undoubtably come across several tailor shops offering you a variety of “custom made” suits to fit your desires. Most of the time you can decipher the knock off cheap quality shops from the fine line/attention to detail quality shops just by looking at their outdoor display. When I was casually walking by Thai Inter Fabrics after having a cup of coffee I decided to stop in as I was intrigued by what they possibly had to offer after glancing through their window. As soon as I walked in I was highly impressed on how I was welcomed with an introduction to the store, the name brands that they offered, an assortment of catalogs to determine what look I was seeking, and numerous full size displays to compare from. After about 30 minutes I decided on an all black suit and was fitted to perfection by the owner and her staff. I was asked to come back in 2 days as the factory is conveniently located down the road, to try on the partially finished suit just encase more alterations were necessary. After a few minor alterations, I came back 2 days later to a completed Armani Exchange suit that looked and felt better than any suit I purchased from the states. For a complete suit of one pants, vest, jacket, shirt, and two ties I paid in all around 10,500 Thai Baht which is around $300. And with me always traveling as light as possible, the owner even vacuumed packed the suit so it would easily fit in my backpack. When I returned to Chiang Mai in February 2017 on vacation, I returned to the shop looking for a new suit and walked away once again impressed with a 10,000 Thai Baht suit. In the U.S. I am frequently required to go to court for my occupation and when I do, I am happy and proud to say I am usually the best dressed out of my colleague in part thanks to Thai Inter Fabrics!
