Staff obviously has been around a lot of customers, non Thai, no worries, I didn’t stay for the show, relaxing place on busy street, nothing bad to report; totally open to the main street and the soi
£5 for a small bottle of Chang which makes it more expensive than London. Show was ok….average. It seems to get busy so maybe I came at the wrong time.

World Class Entertainment packed into a small corner Pub in an area with Night life, and good restaurants near The Anatara and LeMeridian 5 star Hotels, and Night Bazaar. we went 3 nighta in a row and each night was a 100% different spectacular Drag show with unique and complex choreography ,and dazzling surprises. Mr Wat and the entire staff and talent, couldn’t have been more welcoming!absolutly a must see in Chiangmai ( if you can get in)
Recommend to anyone who is staying in Chiang Mai. The entertainers put up a really amazing show. They look amazing and have the best dance moves. Also good music and drinks. It’s a real must go!!
Understandably it’s a venue of entertainment (dancers & drag queens or lady Boys), however the drinks are terribly expensive for a bar in Thailand, and you feel obligated to keep buying drinks just to watch the show.Seems little desperate this bar however entertainers are very good.Great divers crowd absolutely no judgement.This bar could largely benefit from not being so pushy and reduce prices of drinks.If cost is such a factor I’d rather pay a cover charge of 300THB, and pay for reasonable priced drinks.Most seats are uncomfortable, not a cosy bar it’s a more get in drink watch show leave venue.Located steps away from Melia hotel
The shows were great. Drinks were expensive, but if you factor in the shows it’s worth it.Just be smart…. I didn’t get 50 THB change for drinks, and had several hundred THB stolen from my wallet. Apart from that, a great night out.
Our evening at Ram Bar is one of the highlights of our whole trip to Thailand. We attended the show with a local friend we made whilst visiting. The entertainers are absolutely incredible and so talented. The songs appeal to a variety of audiences. Such incredible music; such an awesome vibe! Apparently different performances/skits take place every other evening. While the drinks are pricey, it was such a fun evening out that in our case, we felt it was worth it. It really is a must-go if you want to have a vibrant night out filled with lots of great energy. It’s a night we will certainly remember and we would definitely come again when visiting Chiang Mai!
Literally one of the most fun gay bars I have ever been to and I’ve been to many. The drag show was AMAZING! Absolutely go here!!!
I was really astonished and shocked to see a sad scene on stage where there were only drag queens or transsexuals, white (or ‘yellow’, as they say in the West) dressed beautifully and sexy, white and wonderful. until the moment one of them dressed as a black WOMAN entered: her makeup bore the symbol of the ugliness of ridicule, of inferiority, playing the sad role of a lesser human being. A sad scene of racism! Amazingly, applauded by everyone. At the end of the show, I complained to the drag queen herself l,who performed the role. I complained to the manager andto some bar customers. No one seemed to understand the reason for my revolt. This WAS RACISM RACISM RACISM!! In a place where diversity should prevail RACISM IS UNACCEPTABLE .PLEASE! I HOPE THEY REMOVE THIS HORROROUS SCENE FROM THE SCRIPT…
