Maxim has moved to a new location which is literally across the road from the previous location. The bar is now bigger and better. Faang and the staff are still there at the new location to continue the fun and friendly atmosphere when visiting this bar. Well worth visiting the best bar in Chiang Mai now in an upgraded premises. You will not be disappointed coming here for a night out.
Always great fun with Faang the owner and her sister Fern is one of the best bar tenders in Chiang Mai. Service is fast and friendly. Free pool table and onsite toilet for customers.

Maxim bar has free pool table, the staff are fantastic and friendly. They treat you like family and are so happy to see you. The drinks selection is great and good prices. Staff speak good English. It’s a place to stop and get a drink.
Maxims is great. The owner speaks good English and she is extremely friendly and sincere. She treats u like family and does what ever she can to make u feel welcome and comfortable.The staff are kind and they don’t pressure you to buy drinks.The food is cooked byba different restaurant but it is excellent and hand delivered to your table.The price is standard for western food in this sort of establishment but it is excellent.
Randomly found this bar while trying to find an ATM! Never left the place are that! Free pool table and great priced drinks. If any one beats Faang (the owner) at connect 4 let me know!!!! Manged to beat her twice over 50 games or more! Faang and her sister make the place feel like home and speak perfect English! It really is a gem in Chang Mai! Peter and Ed! x
I reviewed this bar a few years ago, having enjoyed some evenings in the company of it’s owner Faang and her sister Fern. On my return to Chiang Mai this year, I found they had moved a few meters up the lane to a slightly bigger premises. This new place is much roomier than the last, but the ladies still manage to maintain the same cosy atmosphere. Maxim is still within the precincts of the Night Bazaar, so you can combine the two things with ease. Both ladies speak very good English and will treat you as one of the family.
If you are in the night bazaar and looking for a friendly local bar, come to Maxim and meet Fang! She will make you feel like you are right at home.
friendly service, cosy bar with lovely ladies. it feels me a neighborhood bar, most of the poeple are locals expats that live in the same nabierhood. friendly service and great music, free thai food and fruits and a pool table. recomanded to meet the local people of the naibrhood and make friends.
Fern and fang absolutely amazing!!! So friendly so fun and got to know everyone personally. Love them sooo much!! !!!!!
