Located upstairs at the Kalare Food market this venue is worth checking out. It opens at 8.00pm and a band starts playing shortly after. There is no fee to go in. The Boys Blues band played for the first hour and they were excellent. Good tunes and very entertaining. Different bands come on throughout the evening. The venue is small and can fill up quickly so arrive early.
This unusual bar is located up some stairs above a market. In the 2 hours+ that I was there it offered free music from three different bands. The ambiance is good, there is a mix of all ages, and drink prices were very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.
This is a great place to listen to music that I like: bluesy rock. I’ve visited several times, but only on Mondays’ “open mic” nights, so I’ve never even got to experience their perhaps more professional offerings.
For anyone accustomed to the blues and all of its western traditions, this place will not disappoint. The sky deck is a neat feature, nestled away in the height of the night bazaar itself. So it is a little easy to miss if this destination isn’t on your radar. The seating is minimal, and packs up quite quickly during an event. The musicians are top notch in their on regard, and on occasion they will have a jam night, with sign up sheets if you wish to go partake. No cover charge to my knowledge and hosts a ton of bands, blues, rock, jazz etc from the area. Definitely worth the trek if you’re in the mood for a good drink and great music.
If you like blues and rock, this is the place for you. The cover band Crossroad (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirwana, Joan Jett etc.) is currently playing with the powerful-voiced Sloane. Highly recommended.
Took a bit of finding. But well worth the effort. It’s an upstairs bar, in the night Bazaar area . We attended on a Monday night, and the band were top class rock / blues band.
This place was truly magic at one time. Unfortunately the man behind the magic is no longer with us and what has attempted to pick up where he left off is average at best. It now consists of a group of local transplants, mostly non Thai people who live in Chang Mai that dominate the open mic night on a regular basis. They do their best to accommodate fresh talent however it is no where near as ingratiating or entertaining as it once was to people outside of their own circle.
Great music, friendly staff. Went on a Monday night for open mic night. Super packed! Get there early if you want to get a seat.

Visited several time and saw a fantastic variety of bands, vibrant atmosphere with friendly staff. Open mike night on a Monday.

The music was incredible and it’s in such a good location in the middle of the night market! Band also took some requests and absolutely killed it
