Nice place to sit and relax. Decent priced drinks. Staff are friendly. Does get quite busy. Ideal place to people watch.

Always busy. Here you can have a drink and watch Bangkoks gay nightlife go by. Very good athmosphere. A bit overpriced drinks but… Beware of money boys.
The staff will quickly grab you a table to sit down, and we ended up having 6 different drinks here. Some cocktails were better than others but got us in the going out out mood. Friendly guys and not too expensive.

Oh dear. What has happened Balcony?I have been visiting Balcony roughly annually since 2008. The staff were fun and welcoming, and attentive. The vibe was great because the punters warmed to the staff. But now? The level of service should be an embarrassment to the business. Let me just give one example of what happened last night. My beer had finished, and I wanted to order another. I asked a waiter for a beer. He came up to my table, grabbed the bill out of it to check who was “my” waiter, barked something at him, and then “my” waiter came over, and I had to repeat my request. Seriously? The first bloke couldn’t get off his lazy behind and fill the order? He couldn’t tell “my” waiter what I wanted? Just one example of many. No greeting, my smile, no approach from a waiter for a drink order… ever. I had to get the attention of a waiter to order, whereas properly trained (and interested) staff would be onto me the moment my glass was empty.It doesn’t matter to me. This city is filled with bars happy to have paying punters. Guess I go to one of those from now on.
We enjoyed the people watching here at more than one ocassion. The staff are great and take good care of you. Early evening they run a happy hour. They have a huge menu and I had some of the best Thai Curry I ate in Thailand.
