Great tour of the city and Eddie is a fabulous guide! Having seen Bangkok traffic and coming from a right side driving country I was a little apprehensive about biking on the roads, but Eddie did a great job leading us and 95% or so of the tour is in alleys, paths, and other areas with no traffic. A great way to get to know the city on my first day here.
Booked our tour last minute and had an issue out of our control that caused us to be late. When I called ahead of time as I knew we might be late, to ask for options, the owner, Mike, was unhelpful and rude on the phone. When I called him on his rude behavior, he backpedaled and tried to make it right. In the end we were four minutes late. Our tour guide was not so dynamic as previous reviews. He told us very little about the areas we rode. We felt like we were being taken in circles around the town. Bikes were in good shape and comfortable, but feel we were not treated great.
Today we were guided around some of the not well trodden parts of Bangkok by our wonderful guide – frank. It was a great trip filled with lots of inside knowledge from frank about the people, food, weather, language and many other things about Bangkok. Was a great trip and I would recommend!
An ABC Morning tour on 10th October with Michiel as our tour guide. It was a fantastic tour and Michiel has an engaging and humorous way of telling about life in Thailand. I totally recommend ABC to all visitors to Bangkok.
Noi was the perfect guide through alleys, busy streets, over the river and through lovely green areas and path ways. Good biking pace, lots of interesting facts about Bangkok of today and the history of Thailand. Highly recommend this if you want to skip the regular tourist traps.
Great route around with a little bit of everything. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information. I would not hesitate to book this adventure.
I would highly recommend this tour, an awesome way to explore the non-tourist areas of Bangkok, a glimpse of the real Bangkok. We chose the 5hr adventure which started at 10am (roughly!) There were 12 people in our group including us.Our guide, Mr S, (we think that was his name) was amazing, we felt totally safe riding our trek hybrid bikes around the old city centre and across to the island where we had a bite to eat. We did cycle through some very busy areas which was a bit daunting however Mr S herded us together and we all survived!!The ride was not arduous, even with temperatures of +30 degrees! Plenty of water and drinks provided throughout the ride.Unbelievably our son (20) had his bike stolen outside the restaurant by some very selfish tourist whose own bike had a broken chain which they kindly left behind ? Mr S. was shocked and appalled and set out on a mission to recover the stolen bike whilst the lovely chef from the restaurant handed over her own bike so we could get home safely. Whilst cycling back to the ferry Mr S spotted the stolen bike and swiftly went to recover it, what a hero!!!Absolutely loved this adventure and cannot recommend it enough.
Very very easy cycle think we only did 11 km in 5 hours very slow ridingBicycles were ok – not given option to wear helmetsSee true Thailand living given local information by tour guide, but he had some very controversial views about politics/ poverty etc which we didn’t need to hear about; he did have good local knowledge as had lived locally for many yearsMarket was a good experience , crazy but fun, although no opportunity to buy anythingLunch – good food -very traditional in local restaurant hot food & drink providedToo many long stops for water – one was 1/2 hr !!!!
