  1. A stunning reminder of the atrocities that took place here. Leave plenty of time to walk around this beautifully constructed museum. Can highly recommend.

  2. We’re staying here for 3 nights. This place is so beautiful. All their stuffs were well known especially Revee, MP,Sam, Emmi .. they are very helpful. My mom had a wrist hurt they took best care of her to see the doctor. The dining area is so nice and foods is very good. We recommend to stay here. We give them 10 stars. We would like to say thank you for everything.

  3. This is very informative if you want to know about WW2 slaves. Lots of steps and uneven ground when you visit the railway site. Verrrrry hot. I couldn’t wait to get back into the Museum.

  4. Must visit, quite an emotional journey through the one hour walk. Recommend taking the media offer with you as the experience, pain and suffering is explained by surviving soldiers. Take water as its quite hot, and wear joggers. The center has pictures and videos of surviving soldiers telling their experience. The one hour walk takes you down to the actual rail line and to a passage where the soldiers carved out solid rock with hammers and chisels made out of bolts. If you have time, do the 3 to 5 hour walk, you must be fit and take supplies as you are on your own. You are supplied with a walkie talkie for safety. So proud that the Australian Government have funded this memorial. Other places to pay respect is the Memorial Cemetary in Kanchanaburi. You may get more out of this going on an organised tour. We went self guided and worth it.

  5. Dumnuensaduak Market, famously known as the Floating Market, provided us with a unique glimpse into the local culture and vibrant atmosphere. As we arrived at the market, we were immediately captivated by the hustle and bustle of vendors and buyers navigating the maze of waterways. The colorful long-tail boats adorned with various fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts added to the picturesque setting.Exploring the market was an adventure in itself. We happily bargained for souvenirs, sampled local delicacies like fresh coconut water, pad thai, and mango sticky rice, and marveled at the array of handicrafts and traditional Thai products on display. The vibrant sights, exotic aromas, and friendly banter from the locals made the experience truly immersive and enjoyable…

  6. After arriving at the entrance of the park you walk with a lot of other tourists and their guides all on the same wide forest path. There is only one route and you walk it there and back together. The path is easyJet to walk. The part through the forest is not really special, but you can see snakes and monkeys along the way.At all tourist offices this is advertised as a ‘half day jungle trekking’ that you have to do with the help of a guide. And here is my irritation. It turned out not to be a trekking at all, but a walk with a lot of other tourists on a wide forest path. Our guide told us something about the different types of bamboo, there was not much more to tell. But you have to pay a lot for it:The guide costs 600 Bath per adult and 300 Bath per child. And the entrance to the pakr another 200 Bath per adult and 100 Bath per child. You get very little for that. In any case, I would advise against the expensive guide; you can do very well without him.
