  1. Close to the Grand Hotel and Grand Night Market holds Muay Thai matches every Friday night and Wednesdays. Fights start around 9 p.m. and finish at 11.30 p.m or later, and there are usually six or seven matches. This was one of our highlights in Hua Hin. At first i thought i was going to find it uncomfortable with watching people hit each other, but it was so interesting to watch the skill that these boxers have. It was incredible! We watched really young kids to teens to adults fighting. It was quite expensive, i think £16 each. I think they have different prices for tourists. But we didnt mind it in the end as it was so enjoyable. The atmosphere was great too, we arrived really early but the place filled up nicely.Note at the end of the match the fighters come around with money in their mouths asking for a donation. So have alot of 20s handy. Or just keep buying beers and getting change!

  2. I first stepped into Grand Thaiboxing with my group of teachers from XploreAsia. We all enjoyed the group class and found the trainers very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I had never been trained in any type of martial art and knew I wanted to learn Muay Thai upon moving to Thailand. After training everyday for one month, I fell in love with the sport and gained a tremendous amount of respect for all of the trainers at Grand Thaiboxing Gym. They have fights every Wednesday and Friday nights and you can watch an array of fighters of all ages, both national and international. The energy of the gym is very electrifying, especially on fight nights. Kaisuwit, the owner, speaks very good English and has been a master trainer for almost 30 years. Whether you are looking for one-on-one training or would like to watch a traditional Muay Thai fight in Hua Hin, Grand Thaiboxing Gym is the way to go.

  3. Expensive for foreigners, we paid 1000 baht for ringside tickets. The venue is small and not in the best shape.7 fights, 4 with kids, 2 with europeans against sacrifical lambs and one decent match.Affordable beer.Toilets were horrible.Local kids running around setting of fireworks ruined my shirt.

  4. Great night. Late start around 9.30pm. Make sure children sleep as can be a long night finishing around midnight. They have the young and talented children fighting first then work way up through the ages. Make sure you take lots of 20-50 baht notes as fighters walk round after for tips and you can take some photos with your favourite fighter. It is real fighting and injuries do occur. They had a doctor on site for such cases. Safe place for the family lots of young children Cheering on their friends/family and the other fighters come back to the ring to watch the rest of the fights. Can leave at anytime. The staff who ran the event were very polite and helpful. Our children 8 and 13 had a fantastic night. And our 8 year old now wants to be a professional Thai Boxer 🙈it is a real cultural experience and they have so much respect for each other both Thai Nationals and the international fighters.

  5. I have been doing martial art for a little more than two decades and there is something almost indescribable about what happens when you step in/on to a fighting area. The sensation of going primal, adrenaline pumping, the focus on gathering of energy getting ready to send it out in intense bursts, but also keeping you head level to also outsmart your opponent. All that and more were hanging in the air like a fog. This mixed with Thai traditions and modern fight night setup, makes for a great experience.Every Friday, definitely worth a visit 🙂

  6. Took my son here last night who is disabled and in a wheelchair staff could not have been more helpful, helped lift his chair up the steps when we got in the ring master nice guy moved him dead centre of the ring, one of the reports said about kids fighting only 2 out of the 7 had young boys fighting but to me it was great seeing such young boys put so much heart and sole into it, fights are the real deal and a great night if you want to watch some thai boxing, thanks to all the staff for making it a great night for my son

  7. This was bit of late start 9.30pm by the time things got going. $100 for a couple, great seats. Entertaining from beginning to end and worth the entry. Went for nearly 2hrs. The place was full and had good atmosphere. Only thing I thought a bit off was the kids went round with a 100bht note in their mouth afterwards and made to walk around the crowd looking for tips. Otherwise great night out.

  8. A must see when you are in hua hin. Real expierence about thai boxing. I am so happy they survival the covid crises. Eveyone was very enthausiastic
