This was the best choice of activity I made for my month-long vacation this year! The training quality and atmosphere are very good for both professionals and non-prof Muay Thai enthusiasts. The trainers were very patient and encouraging with my capacity during that time. The techniques are practical and not intimidating for a beginner like me. I saw how they customize the training based on the skill level and interest of the student/fighter. I learned a lot within a month especially about discipline and the lessons can be practiced even away from the camp. Equipment are available for purchase in the store. They invite and arrange to watch live fights and were very helpful with mostly what I needed during my stay in Bangkok (directions, money exchange, visa extension). The location is near the Airport and one cab away from the train. The rooms are clean, the in house meals were great and authentic, and the staff/trainers are all hospitable, knowledgeable, and friendly. Master Woody himself is hands on and very kind. I have good words only from my inquiry til now. A place worth coming back to. 😀 If you want to learn or improve in Muay Thai even for a short visit, I definitely recommend this camp!
In August 2017 I embarked on a trip to Thailand to train Muay Thai for a month , I had done my research and decide to train at Luktupfah , I wanted a genuine Thai experience and that is exactly what I got.Luktupfah was amazing! Right from the get go liaising with Jill via email to meeting Master Woody , Jade and all the trainers at the camp it couldn’t have been easier.My trainer was Pisan and he was fantastic! Not only was the training top notch but the attitude and warmth of all the trainers etc was great , I got treated like family and invited to many Muay Thai fights.If you want the true Muay Thai experience then Luktupfah is the place to go , I loved it so much that I am returning in July 2018 with my 12 year old son to train. Cant wait!!
I really enjoyed my stay here, everyone was so friendly and welcoming.I decided to go here at the end of my trip as it is close to Suvarnabhumi airport and they offer a free airport pick up!It was perfect to have a sweat, detox and get back into fitness and training after a long vacation of lots of food and relaxing.The trainers are really fun and teach great technique. I train back home, therefore I have experience in Muay Thai but even so, Luktupfah helped me out so much on correcting my technique and they taught me so much!Would love to come back here!! 😀
My friend and I are beginners of Muay Thai when all other participants are professional or regular fighters. Instructors pushed us hard in relaxing atmosphere. Food provided are generally good, but you always have an option to go for other local restaurants nearby (10-15 mins walk). Great experience indeed! I will come visit again!
I went to Luktupfah Muay Thai just for one day in late November, unfortunately, due to being sick with the flu at the time, I did not train. Still, I observed people training, which looked like they were having fun while putting in serious work. Also paid 1200 baht in cash to Jade, and had a brief chat about Muay Thai in general. The accommodation is good, with airconditioning and nice hot shower. If my future schedule has more free time, I would like to return.
Luktupfah is just one big great family. Training is top class. Very good for fighters and great for beginners also. Totally recommend.
2 days training in Luktupfahhad been so beneficial for me as a Muay Thai practitioner. The training sessions were fun and intensive at the same time. Bad habits had been pointed out and corrected by the trainers. We were also taught Muay Boran which Muay Thai originated from. Because it is located in the outskirt of the city, there will be lesser distraction and life is very simple.
I am a lifelong martial artist that owns an Academy on the Northside of Chicago. My trip to Luktupfah was everything I dreamed of in a martial artist adventure and more. My air-conditioned room was clean and the camp has a real family feel. Kindness is the top commodity and Grandmaster Woody, his lovely wife Jill and his rock star daughter Jade Sirisompan lead the way while Kru Ton and Kru Bpu and Kru War lead AMAZING classes! They are patient and clear with their instruction. Even during times when an interpreter was not available; it was barely an obstacle and only made for some laughs and a memorable fun learning experience. As soon as I arrived I ate some bad street food while seeing the gorgeous temples and Patree, the Superwoman that helps with everything, made certain that I had medicine and kept checking on me. Passing the Kru certification course was an amazing experience where I learned a ton! I could have went to any camp and learned how to smash pads better and I am certain I would have had a great time…but here I learned how to be a teacher of Muay Boran, not just Muay Thai. I consider this one of my great accomplishments and I cherish the memories and I hope to return.

I arrived on May 12th 2024 and stayed for 4 weeks.It had taken me a while to commit to doing the training camp, but I need not have worried.Premises tidy. All staff patient, attentive and thoughtful. Other students friendly and enthusiastic.I personally found that doing Muay Boran improved my balance, technique and control when I did Muay Thai.I look forward to my next training camp being for 8 weeks and successfully completing multiple weeks of attending every possible class.I highly recommend Luktupfah and Grand Master Woody if you are considering exploring the Martial Art that inspired the Muay Thai that we all enjoy watching.
