PTT Green in the City is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Sukhaphiban 2 Road, Thailand
The walk including the walk up the tower takes around 30 minutes. It is nice to see the green space, but the view from the tower stretches across industrial Bangkok so you can’t really describe it as picturesque! If you are passing this direction and want to stretch your legs then it us worth a visit. The information is only in Thai.
Hello if u love nature and have an extra day then visit this place.Getting there: The easiest way is to take the BTS to Udomsuk. Then tell the taxi driver to go to Pa Nai Krung. Coordinates hereContact: +66 02-136-6380Opening hours: 1st Round 9am to 10:30am and 10:30 to 12pm, 2nd Round 1pm to 2:30pm and 2:30pm to 4pm, closed only on Mondaythere is lot of more thing to see around so keep as last option or spend time in shopping
Just outside Lat Krabang, this compact award winning eco park make a pleasant diversion from the bustle of Bangkok. It features elevated walks over a wide variety of native plants and trees surrounding a small pool and stream. The walkways lead to a high observation tower overlooking the entire park. Almost all of the signage and information is in Thai but there are a few english captions if you look hard. The site is home to a range of birds but as we followed a school party around the site the noise meant we saw little evidence of birds.Be warned most taxi drivers have not heard of the venue and despite having a Thai decription from our hotel, we only found the venue by showing the taxi driver on Google maps. Probably the best choice would be to take the train to Lat Krabang -one stop from Survarnabhumi airport and then grab a cab.
Personally I believe in supporting any efforts to regenerate green spaces in urban cities.here at Metro Forest, it is one wonderful concerted effort that is well planned, artistic and will definitely blossom into a beautiful green lung over the next few years. When we were there, there were few visitors and the entrance was so hidden our Grab car had to make a u turn to double check. The landmark is the tall observation tower that one cannot miss even in the distance.Entrance is free, Toilets are super deluxe clean and the exhibition hall airconditioned. All exhibits explanations are in Thai; to me not necessarily a setback (tho of coz, would be lovely if translated into English) because the beauty of the place and eco efforts are so apparent, not much words are needed. We took a Grab car from Onnut, cost us THB245.On the return journey, the guards hailed us a taxi to BTS Udom Suk, cost us THB140.So its pretty convenient to explore.
If your are around this area it worth to have a walk in the park. Well maintained they try to set an ecosystem here and it work well. Different birds and insects. The trees are healthy. It’s not big but well manage. A walk bridge above the park with a tower to make a view point. We spend a great hours walking around.
This place is presented as a forest in the city not a public park where open from 09:00-18:00 hrs. They allowed to park along the road from 9am till 4pm only and after that we can park at some nearby rest. They managed well in the forest, clean and nice. I love walking on the sky walk through the forest.
It’s very small and far out of the city. All information is in Thai, nothing in English. Not worth going there.
Small green land for Bangkokian. Wandering around various trails and climb up to viewing point tower. Good place for kids to learn about plants.
