  1. The friendly staff have such passion for their food and obviously take such pleasure in sharing their knowledge. The food is fresh and tasty. Thank you Marion and Lily

  2. Traveling around Thailand and enjoying the sights, smells, and sounds of each region I traversed has been a desire for sometime. My journey of getting to know the culture and witness the “Land of Smiles” first hand recently ended after two weeks of travel bliss. One way I was able to experience Thai culture was through the Naa Cooking School with a half dozen friends on my Thai travel excursion. Phrang (Marian) and Lily were our hosts for an evening of cooking. However, our culinary adventure did not begin in the classroom, but after a morning of bike riding.Earlier in the day we rode bicycles through the Sukhothai Historical Park (something not to miss) and Marian provided us with refreshments along the way. Lily met us for lunch and surprised us with many delicious dishes to include a version of massaman curry from her region of eastern Thailand (Isaan province), which was a culinary delight and my favorite dish while in Thailand. Yes, even better than the yellow curry I made that evening. Kudos to Lily! Note: I do not know if Marian and Lily do what they did for us at the Sukhothai Historical Park for others, but you can ask. Our Thai tour guide, Gigi, has known Marian’s family for some time and made the arrangements for this fun-filled day.Later we met Marian at a local market and she showed us the vendors where she purchased the food for our dinner. She explained the different vegetables and herbs, meats, and fish. We smelled, touched, and tasted our way around the market. She even showed us Thai pre-packaged food when Thai people are in a hurry (bundled roots, herbs, etc. and just add the meat).Afterwards we gathered at the Naa Cooking School and Marian and Lily walked us through the featured dishes of papaya salad, yellow curry, and a tapioca dessert. The hands on portion of the class was making the curry paste for the yellow curry and mixing and rolling little balls of tapioca for the desert. The food was delicious and Marian and Lily’s guidance in making the Thai dishes made it easy for anyone to make. Marion provided Thai cooking tips and suggestions throughout the class. All students were given a recipe booklet with many of the Naa family dishes. Good fun, good people, great food!

  3. We had the pleasure of both lunch and dinner with Lily and Marian during our recent trip to Sukhothai. A picnic lunch had been arranged and it was divine. We knew we’d be in for a treat at dinner. After a warm welcome and lovely introduction to the cooking school we started in. Learning, preparing, understanding the techniques and then the cooking – it was a fun and educational experience and a real treat. They have done a marvellous job and you will definitely enjoy your time.

  4. The activity began with a visit to the market to find out about the different ingredients we would be cooking with. Highly appreciated, is that a lot of the products came straight from Naa and Lily’s garden. We prepared a full menu with starters, soup, main courses and dessert in a modern and very functional setting. Hence, the cooking class is suitable for all size groups, where everyone can participate, young and old alike. The menu includes traditional dishes that are easy to prepare, with suggested Western alternatives regarding the ingredients. We were always cooking or tasting our dishes, so no time to get bored, although everyone could go at their own pace. Lily and Naa are on hand to guide you through the cooking process in the sweetest and kindest way possible. Naa Cooking is about transmitting the love of Thai cuisine in a simple and authentic way.

  5. My sister and I enjoyed a cooking class as part of our tour with Intrepid. It was great to get the chance to cook in a traditional Thai home and check out the lovely herbs growing in the garden. We made a variety of delicious Thai dishes including Pad Thai, yellow curry, and sweet & sour chicken. Our instructor Lilly made everything fun and easy and provided us with a cookbook to take home. The food we made was fresh and tasty and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Bonus, she and her team provided a delicious lunch following our tour of Sukhothai the next day. I would highly recommend Naa Cooking School!

  6. Fantastic venue with excellent leaders – Naa and Lille. Kitchen is really well set up with high quality and professional equipment at all workstationscooking classes were well organised and structured. The meals – chicken laab, green curry and sweet sticky rice with mango were excellent.easy follow with many tips, secret recipes and more.highly recommend and went back to hotel full and happy after a really enjoyable experience. Can highly recommend

  7. Naa and Lilly were very welcoming to their home/cooking school. The venue was so well designed for air flow and comfort. What I loved apart from the food was that each person was able to cook for themselves to the level of spicy that suited them. Also, this school caters for small groups, so we weren’t waiting to be assisted if needed. We had pork laab, chicken curry and sticky rice with mango. All were delicious. Naa also gave us a recipe book to take home. I will certainly be trying some of them at home.A great experience.

  8. We were welcomed into Naa’s with warm smiles and a welcome drink before starting our experience. Naa and Lilly did a fantastic job at guiding us through making 3 dishes. The yellow curry was still one of the best meals I had travelling Thailand over 17 days. Lots of fun and a cookbook to take home – highly recommend this cooking school.

  9. Fantastic authentic thia cooking class. Naa and Lillie provide an informative fun class. Lots of culture, great food. If you’re in Thailand and in the area check this out
