Had a brilliant time diving with Fai and the Similan dive team. Really friendly, experienced dive master. The complete experience was well organised and great fun. We dived twice at Shark Point in Koh Yao Yin, taking in both north and south pinnacles.Highlights included Leopard Sharks, Squid family, Puffer fish, Barracuda, massive Fan corals and a lot more. The dive equipment and speedboat were in great condition. So grateful for the way we were looked after before, during and after our dives.Highly recommend Similian Scuba for your next trip! Thanks Brian
We dived as a family of four to Yawasam island. We took a longboat from the dock and the trip took near enough an hour to get to the dive site.We dived twice in the AM and both dives were really fun and colourful. All of us really liked the dive instructor Fai. She was exactly the right mix of professional and fun and nothing was too much trouble for her or her team. The dive equipment was all good and recently serviced and she gave a thorough and accurate briefing pre dive.It was refreshing to see a dive school run by someone like Fai. She was great with all her guests but was clearly an expert diver and careful businesswoman. We will definitely dive again with the team here. Highly recommended.
We were 4 person and it was the first dive for us after 7 years. We did not know if we still can manage it. But Fay and her team were so great, that we really had two easy-going wonderful dives in 15 m depth in a very positive and relaxed atmosphere. The equipment is very good, the team supported us wherever possible and Fay is really a great diving-guide.We saw nearly all, that you can see in a tropial reef, including sea-horses. I wish her all the best. Many thanks for this wonderful experience. Fay really brought us back to diving.
Absolutely amazing experience! I am an experienced diver but this was the first time ever for my wife. From the start Fai was the most incredible instructor. She was very patient and calming throughout the experience. We both felt very prepared and safe when we transitioned from pool training to the water. She really made it the most amazing learning environment for us both. We travelled by longboat to the dive sight which was a beautiful experience. Once in the water we were stunned by the gorgeous reefs, turtles, and fish. Fai was an incredible guide and made sure we didn’t miss anything while underwater. Thanks to her we were able to spot a turtle, tomato clown fish, and seahorse. If you are making the trip to Yao Noi I highly recommend this dive shop as an amazing experience not to be missed!
I was worried by the thought of diving, but determined to try…and succeed. However, all fears melted away when I met Fai and her team. The PADI course was thorough but not too difficult when it came to the theory – it was the practical side that had worried me. Fai was an excellent instructor – she calmed me, and the pool sessions were fun and informative. Then we headed to the ocean! I felt I was in good hands the whole time. I felt safe, I was watched closely, and once I relaxed I really enjoyed my new skill. The sea conditions were great, and I was amazed by the sea life diversity. I especially liked the abundant rays. Afterwards. we headed to eat ice-cream with Fai…that seems to be the routine with her students! Love it!
My husband and I went diving with Similan in Feb 23 and we had an amazing time !!! Right from coordinating the dives , arranging our transport, dives , payment etc, Fai was super sweet and helpful and made sure it was as easy as can be !! The dives itself were absolutely amazing and we saw such stunning coral and marine life.. Troy our dive instructor was also really good.. The boats were very clean and spacious and comfortable , they gave us the yummiest lunch after our dives which I still think about and took us to some lovely islands post dives… would without a doubt recommend Similan for diving if you are around Yao Noi !! And you most definitely can’t miss the all in pink Fai!!! Thank you so much for such an amazing experience and memories for a lifetime .. Was amazing getting to know you and Troy.. Look forward to diving with you again very very soon !!!!
Great team. Great communication via Whatsapp. Bee is a superb diveguide. Good vibes. Nice divespots.A little expensive but that is due to the fact that you need an hour in the boat to get there, sometimes a speedboat….Food on board is yummy.I dove with the Koh Yao Noi branch!See you!!
Very slick operation, very friendly and professional. The dive centre on Koh Yao Noi was just down the road from my hotel so it was super simple to arrange a day of diving. The guy in the centre who attended to me was very courteous and helpful (sorry, I never got your name!). We took a speedboat trip out to Shark Point and within the first 5 minutes in the water we saw a Guitar Shark. Apparently a very rare sighting. Much excitement!Master Bee led the dives and Gat swam around taking photos of everything. We ate lunch afterwards on a small beautiful island. Rice & chicken wrapped in vine leaves -that was a nice and unexpected treat.I won’t hesitate to dive with this centre again if I’m here again in the future.
I did 4 dives in 2 days with the Similan team. Perfect organisation all the way, starting with Faye who came to our hotel to introduce the club, the sites and the planning… Impeccable all the way through and very smooth and responsive communication over Whatsapp thereafter. They come and pick you up at the hotel and take you back. What else can you ask :)… The long tail boat is great, spacious and very clean (hang in the front). I found our vessel much better than all the other longtails we crossed on the sea. Way better. Did not try the speedboat so cannot comment. The team is always available to help especially gearing up before each dive which is a big change from European dive clubs. Bee was our dive master for 2 days and he did a great job in sometimes challenging diving conditions (current and sometimes poor visibility). The second day my wife and daughter came along to do some snorkeling while I was diving. The team picked eden garden spots so they were thrilled and so was I because it was wonderlful diving there also. Voilà now is your turn to enjoy a dive with Similan as much as we did !
We had an excellent dive trip with SimilanKYN. We did 2 dives to the local islands. Pick-up was at 730am and 15min car ride to the pier followed by an hour journey by longtail boat. The boat was very comfortable with a western toilet. We had delicious Thai lunch after our 2 dives and a snack in between. The dives were at Ko Sii and Ko Daeng. We saw various nudibranches, school of barracuda and a blue spotted stingray. The maximum depth of the dive sites was about 18m. Currents were mild but underwater visibility restricted to 5-7m. Our dive guide Bee was excellent and very good at spotting critters. The boat captain and deckhand were also very good at their jobs. We enjoyed our dive trip and recommend this dive centre!
