  1. One of Koh Yao Noi’s main beaches, Pasai Beach is a quiet strip of sand about 2 kilometres long, with the near-deserted tarmac road running directly parallel with it. Beautiful nature for relaxing with drinks and sunshine….

  2. You can find island boat tours, cookie cutter bungalows, rustic restaurants and Charlie Bar. The beach is longish and narrow and the view lovely. You can swim at the beach around the high tide.

  3. Beautiful beach with fabulous views across the bay to Krabi and the islands. Lots of rubbish though, plastic bottles etc but someone was cleaning up.

  4. This is where the boats depart for the daily trips so it’s a somewhat busy spot and the beach is a bit rocky, especially during everyday longlasting lowtides, so it’s actually nicer to come here for dinner as there’s some restaurants along the beach.

  5. As with all beaches on Koh Yao Noi, Pasai Beach is beautiful when the tide is in (at the time of writing, between 9am and 3pm), although becomes very rocky and sludgy when the tide leaves (still pretty but in a semi post apocalyptic/sparse, rather than tropical paridise, kind of way). There are a great selection of restaurants, hotels and water sport/tour kiosks along the beach – I could happily eat the mango rotis in the first restaurant on the stretch (think it’s an Italian place, but they also do amazing Thai food too) all day.I can particularly recommend Haris Tours, who do a semi private 5/6 island tour for 600baht per person, and which are one of the first kiosks on the beach. The boat carries a maximum of 8 passengers, leaves at 9am and comes back around 3pm. Includes lunch, water, diving masks and, because the tour group is so small (there was only us and two other couples on our trip) you can basically ask the driver/sailor(?) to stop off at any location you like. The guy who sold us the tour has to be one of the friendliest people we met on our tour – we unfortunately didn’t catch his name, but nothing was too big an ask for him. He picked us up from our hotel on his scooter (and admittedly precarious looking side car) to take us to the beach were we took the boat, and waited for us to have a bite to eat when we came back before dropping us back to our hotel in the evening (in a safer, more fetching pink scooter and side car). When we rented kayaks from him on the previous day (at 400 baht for the whole day, including life jackets and water proof bag) and realised only too late that Pasai beach turns into a rock/mud/sludge scape past 4pm, meaning we literally not only got stuck in the mud, but also stuck between a rock and a hard place, with our kayak on the way back, he fetched us buckets of clean water and proceeded to happily wash my feet and legs, despite my protestations that it really wasn’t necessary. Would happily recommend him and his tours to our friends!

  6. Not the best beach but worth a look. There are many smaller cuter beaches on Koh Yao Noi but this one is worth a look.

  7. Pasai Beach is a strip of sand beach below the road level, about 2 kilometres long and running parallel with the road. A very pretty natural beach and nice place but not spectacular.

  8. We were here in Dec 2017 and Feb 2018, and both times we were disappointed at how much garbage, especially plastic, was floating in the sea and being washed up on the beach. So disappointed that we hardly swam in the sea but instead in the pool at our villa (Laguna Villas). We told everyone since that Koh Yao Noi was somewhere not to go for beach time due to the garbage.Just got back from another visit (March 2019) and wow what a change! The island has really come on board with cleaning up – there are disposal bins everywhere, and everyone, locals and visitors, is taking part in cleaning up. Big signs all over the island, and especially at the schools. The resorts are doing their part by paying for people to sweep the beach every day.So now Pasai beach is fabulous – ok, not as fabulous as the white sand of Koh Mook or the super fine sand of the Crane beach, Barbados – but really worth a visit and not a detriment at all.Dmitri of Laguna Villas posts the time of the tides, so, as others have said, the best time for beach time is around high tide. Very worthwhile to get up early and watch the sun rise over the islands to the east.

  9. secluded, hardly anyone around, has shade, nearby spas are cool and nice, and eating options are lovely

  10. I thought this beach was pretty average. Rubbish on the beach. I’d say the only high for me was the massage we had on the beach by the ladies set up at the end. Also we enjoyed a nice lunch at Ciao Bella.
