Our day exploring Ko Rok with Lek was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. He was incredibly friendly and kind. He had a beautiful long tail boat that he took pride in maintaining and outfitting with all the essentials of the sea – it was so comfortable that we even napped on the cushioned benches on our way back to Ko Lanta. Some highlights: 1. Lek graciously picked us up from our hotel’s dock; 2. His wife cooked us a delicious meal of curry, grilled swordfish and rice which he laid out as a picnic at a private beach; 3. He took us to amazing snorkeling sites with relatively few people and a few beaches with literally no one else in site; the beaches were stunningly beautiful. It was all in all a wonderful experience, we would highly recommend him, especially over boat excursions from hotels or larger companies.
This was one of my best experiences in my life! The two guys were so nice, genuine and friendly. They made everything perfect for our kids (3 and 5) and us. We booked a private tour with a long tail boat and shipped to four islands. I’ve never seen so many beautiful fishes while snorkeling. They guided us through a cave (swimming) to a beautiful hidden bay. It felt like paradise. They’ve prepared a typical thai lunch for us and cutted fresh fruits for us before. They also provided cold water. The timing was always perfect. The captain always took the right time slots so we always had the chance to be alone without the other tourist. The private tour was worth the money. This is kind of a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you so much.
Wow, what a trip!! We had a total blast having our own long-tail boat with a captain and first mate! They took us to incredible beaches and snorkeling spots. It’s wonderful being the only two snorkelers in a stunning cove surrounded by fish and vibrant coral. The lunch was delicious and served to us on our private and totally secluded beach. This was one of the highlights of our trip! So glad we did this!
This is exactly how I imagined a private tour to be ! The best boat tour we have done in Thailand, and we have done quite few. Simply life takes you to private and special places and not to massificated beaches like most tours in Thailand. We spent a wonderful day at Kraden Island (nothing to envy Phiphi), great snorkel out of crowds and lunch at a paradise beach completely alone ! Good job ! Continue like this, this is the way.I can only recommend !
I firstly want to say that I e mailed the company yesterday morning to give them a right to reply before posting this review but have heard nothing so here goes.Our pick up was due to be 0830, at 0850 our driver arrived and drive at 15 mph to the Old Town where we were scheduled to pick up the boat. We now realise he was just trying to stall our arrival because the tide was out so we were going nowhere fast. With nowhere to wait comfortably we just paced for an hour until we were put into a row boat (access via mud flats) and were pushed by the first mate through the mud 100m to the boat. We then had to clamber aboard, covered in mud. It was 1030 before we left so why not warned of the false start and arrange a later pick up?? I’m also annoyed that we still had to pay full price, well over £60 each, when the trip started late and was nowhere near a full day.However once the trip started it was great, water was a bit choppy so if you get sea sick don’t do the Ko Bubu and Ko Talebang trip! The water to the east of Lanta isn’t as clear so snorkelling was pointless, even though the equipment was perfect and brand new. Lunch was delicious chicken fried rice prepared by the Captain’s son and tons of fruit. We took our own beer and they were happy to keep it cold for us.Lovely crew, great boat and some beautiful swimming and scenery. Unfortunately the trash situation is getting WAY OUT OF HAND. Ko Po was so covered in rubbish you could barely see the sand. Something needs to be done by the government of this country quick Sharp before it’s spoiled forever. So all in all the day improved but started off a complete farce.
We had a great private longtail trip to Ko Kradan and 4 islands and Emerald cave with this company. Nothing to complain and can easily recommend them.
We wanted the opportunity to snorkel and visit an island whilst staying in Koh Lanta. We chose this company based on excellent reviews and the promise of the ability to see and visit quieter spots, away from the hoards of tourists.The trip we were taken wasn’t the itinerary we were promised.What we booked: a private long-tail trip to Koh Kradan with a crew who spoke some English allowing us to tailor the day to our own needs but including snorkeling, the opportunity to explore quiet beaches, with lunch in a secluded area of a beach.What we got: a crew who spoke no English. We were taken to the polluted area of Koh Ngai, a very budy drop off point in Koh Kradan and Koh Mook which involved a swim through a cave which was unsuitable fot some of our party. Lunch was served on a very busy part of Koh Kradan. We were unable to communicate with the crew to adjust the locations we were being taken to.We contacted Darren who we booked with before sharing any reviews. He apologised and said that the captain we should have had was sick. I understand that these things happen but this trip was planned as the highlight of our holiday and ended up being an experience we wouldn’t want to repeat. But ultimately he just said it was one of those things.
Used them as a taxi service. Very very we’ve expensive. 1000 baht for a 5km ride. Would not recommend them. They were meant to wait for us but dropped us off and then returned later
Highly recommend doing a tour with these guys. Great experience, captain Lek was great guide, kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We visited some of the most beautiful beaches and I’ve seen, I will definitely book with them again next time I’m in Krabi.
