  1. We loved simple Tahi cooking. It so well worth to reccomend!! Mimi was so nice and answered all our questions not only about cooking but also about living in Thailand. And if you want to see how real Thai live – you are at the real home,by the channel, Mimi’s mum is helping around.First you go to the market but it is not a turistic market, you wont see any turist there, and you will see the aboundance of fresh produce and so many kinds of exotic fruit and veggies.then you cook along with Mimi using fresh produce you got from the market. You’ll have Thai betel tea at Mimis house and also rambutan fruit as sanck. And you eat the food you have cooked it is amazing experince!! I loved it and so did my 3 kids.

  2. Mimi was so wonderful! Even months later I reminisce about one of my favorite parts of our Thai adventure. I came with my friend and my sister who is visually impaired. I told Mimi about my sister beforehand and she was so accommodating and treated her like a person and not someone who is disabled. She changed some things around to allow her to fully participate! This is not something we’ve experienced often while traveling and doing different activities. The class was very interactive and the price was worth everything we did. I especially liked going to the market and being educated on the workings of the market itself! It your in Bangkok GO!!

  3. Mimi showed us around on a local market while buying some fresh ingredients needed for the food. She has great knowledge about individual ingredients and is extremely patient in sharing the “what, why and how” about the vegetables used for cooking. Everything was well planned and even our 2 year old baby felt comfortable. Moreover, she helped us to communicate with the taxi driver, which made the meeting very easy for us. Thus, highly recommend Mimi and her lovely cooking class for every Thailand visitor! 10/10 stars!

  4. Cooking with Mimi was fantastic! It was easy to meet her at the BTS station, after she took us by car to the local market and explained us all the different veggies and answered all our questions. We went by car to her house, it’s a very lovely and quiet place, we got to know her mother as well( such a lovely lady) We cooked 4 dishes, the working stations are clean and well organized, Mimi loves her job and you can tell! She will answer all the questions with a big smile!I can totally recommend this cooking class!!!!

  5. Thank you to Mimi from Simple Thai Cooking House & her mom for hosting such a wonderful cooking class! I found out about Mimi and her cooking classes from my hotel! Saw a flyer about her classes and decided to have my hotel contact her to make sure to reserve my partner and I a spot. I love her welcoming vibe and introduction to the local environment. We had a nice walk through the morning market and she taught us all about their produce and produce substitutions. She taught us how to make legit thai food using thai produce. Luckily we were able to make Tom Yum soup (menu differs on the day) along with green curry, pad thai, and mango & sticky rice. Everything we made was from scratch, no prepackaged stuff. We also met two other Californians – Emily and Aryn. This was perhaps the most worth trip adventure I’ve done since coming to Thailand. I would pay twice as much to go again for a day long experience!

  6. I booked this class through Airbnb which included a market tour and a cooking class where we made pad thai, curry chicken, tomyum shrimp, and mango sticky rice. The class has a max capacity of four, which makes this a very intimate experience. Since Mimi, the instructor, spent a few months in the USA, she was able to help me substitute different ingredients I could use back home for the ingredients only found in Thailand.I highly recommend this class in Thailand. The studio itself is clean and modern. Mimi converted the bottom floor of her home into a studio where you have space to prepare dishes, cook and eat together. You can tell Mimi put a lot of effort into making this a great experience for her guests and she succeeds in making this fun and authentic.

  7. I have always enjoyed Thai food so on my first trip to Thailand, I knew that I wanted to do a cooking class with my son (9) and Mimi’s did not disappoint! She took us to the market and gave a lot of insight into the various ingredients that we would be using and also those that are used in other Thai dishes. When we returned to her house to do the class, she had very clear instructions, was patient with us and also assisted my son when he was finding things tricky. The food that we made was delicious!! And I am very much looking forward to recreating these dishes for my friends and family back home! The class was fantastic, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend it! Thank you Mimi 🙂

  8. Our teacher Mimi picked us up from the sky train and brought us to the market to teach us about the produce we will be using. It was really great to see all of the ingredients that are used (most being quite different from what we can find in Canada) and experiencing a local market trip in Thailand. After we heading to the classroom where we learned to cook Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Red Rubies. It was some of the best food I’ve had in Thailand and I was very happy to learn how to properly cook some of my favourite Thai dishes! Mimi is really knowledgeable and thoroughly explains what each ingredient is and why it’s used. Definitely one of our favourite activities while travelling and we highly recommend this class!

  9. Mimi showed us a wonderful time and one of our fondest memories from not only Bangkok, but from all of Southeast Asia! From the food selection process at the local Bangkae farmer’s market to learning about proper prep times and finishing touches, we were able to fully immerse in the Thai cooking process in a lovely and cozy setting. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a true and honest taste of Bangkok’s Kitchen style!

  10. Mimi was such an excelent teacher! Going to the market and learning to cook Thai food from her was one of the best things of my visit to Bangkok. Delicious food, coazy kitchen and the kind and funny Mimi makes this experience a must!I highly recommend it. Love it!!!
