  1. It was an amazing experience! And thanks to our guide Paul, I took a lot of wonderful pictures. ありがとうございます!

  2. I did the night photography session with Paul. Really enjoyed it. Paul has his own style but he doesn’t dominate and wants you to get the most of the event. He offered to take me where I wanted but when I asked him to take the lead, he knew exactly where to go to get great shots. He also has good technical knowledge, instinct and passion that he is happy to share. All in all, a really enjoyable, informative and fun session that I would recommend to anyone who loves photography but doesn’t know the best places. The Wat Arun night view was definitely the highlight.

  3. Paul met me at 8pm outside Hua Lamphong station. He was full of positivity, gentleness and guidance. This set the tone for a wonderful few hours exploring Bangkok’s China Town after Dark. Unusually for someone who is clearly an exceptional and intuitive photographer, he is also a very good teacher who adapts his level to where the client is “At”. He sensed my preference to spend more time exploring the crazy and neon infused street life of the communities around China Town and adapted the tour to that. The 3 hours were filled with exceptional photographic guidance, Pauls’ stories of life in Thailand and what had brought him here, as well as the rich texture of Bangkok street life. I really enjoyed listening to why he loved and enjoyed his new home. He is exceptionally generous with his time and guidance. His passion for bangkok and the photographic art and science is obvious and imparted with understatement and intelligence. For me so many new ideas, feelings and insights. I absolutely recommend this tour to all. Best, Dennis

  4. This night photo tour was the highlight of my week in Bangkok! I learned more in 3 hours than I ever thought possible. Paul, the instructor, couldn’t have been more friendly, knowledgable, encouraging, and amazing at teaching. I’m going to sign up for other Aperture Tours now when I’m in the cities they’re located in.

  5. Worked with Paul Lukin for two different extended photo sessions at the end of April 2024 in the city. My first time in Bangkok. Both sessions started at 15:30 partly to avoid the extreme heat of the middle of the day. Very sensible as far as I was concerned. We covered architecture and street genres primarily with a bit of portraiture. Our locations were the railway station, Chinatown and an authentic Thai inner city area alongside Chinatown. Paul was brilliant, fully enthusiastic, a true street photographer, fearless, patient where possible, and persistent. We worked in is usual style of black and white which was so effective in Bangkok’s back streets. I learnt a lot. Would work again with Paul again without hesitation.

  6. I did the 3 hour Bangkok photo tour with Paul end of august and we started at 8am. I enjoyed it very much. Paul took me to a lot of interesting spots, quite apart from the usual places I would have walked myself. But at least as rewarding as the locations, was talking to Paul and getting some insights about different photographic topics. From how to approach people to finding a photographic style, it was very obvious that he is a dedicated and professionell photographer and his positive and dynamic attitude was great. I felt very comfortable approaching people with him, something I normally struggle with. I do recommend this tour, it was a real pleasure. Thanks Paul!

  7. I had great time with Paul wandering around Bangkok. I enjoyed so much to discovered hidden gems with him. He’s super friendly and has always some nice things to add.
