We had a great session here today. Some real deep stretches in a calm and peaceful environment. Having not done yoga for a few months I was as stiff as the boards of the building, but the session has definitely helped. 90 minute session – well worth 250 baht
I’ve done lots of yoga back in my home town and anywhere I can find when I travel. I have a gymnastics and dance background so I love to challenge my body and mind. The instructors at hidden house yoga did just that. I’ve never been exposed to so many styles of yoga at one studio and I have tried a new type every day so far. The teachers truly dedicate each class to the specific techniques and poses of the style taught that class. Each time I’ve come I’ve been challenged from beginning to end. I highly recommend if you want to connect with your body and mind.
Love the old wooden house structure. Excellent and experienced Thai teachers and good quality mats and cushions. Classes are 1.5 hrs. Ning is wonderful front of house and yoga teacher as well. Its just a wonderful find in Chiang Mai. Do not hesitate to go.
Ning was really nice and helpful. The food we made during the cooking lesson was really tasteful (and really spicy!). I had the best curry (masaman) ever there.
Great yoga center right next to a temple, By Hand Pizza, and Lanna steam room. Super high-quality yoga mats and nice wooden room for practice. Koi and Lek are prefect teachers 🙂
Beautiful space with nice airflow. Vinyasa flow class incorporated a lot of stretching and flexibility moves. Great hands-on adjustments from instructor!
I’m a backpacker with a basic level of yoga, have been practicing for just over a year. I have been joining yoga classes on my trip around South east Asia and unfortunately this was one of the worst classes so far. It felt more like I was being bossed around and barked at than a yoga class. There wasn’t very much flow or opportunity to rest. The instructor didn’t check if anyone had any injuries at the beginning. I was adjusted in my posture and pushed further than was comfortable for my body and when my body didn’t push as far as she expected, the instructor laughed at me. Not the kind of nourishing, encouraging and healing environment you expect in a yoga class, especially beginners. A bit of a shame as the studio is quite a nice space and it was very close to my accomodation. Will try another place next time.
We went here for a beginners yoga class. We were afraid it would be too easy for us since we both practice yoga regularly, but it was the opposite: a very tough class which we (and many more of the other students) would not classify as beginners as all. For some guys this was the first ever yoga class and some important comments like “keep head straight in fish position” were not given. The teacher was nice, but would only recommend going here if you really have a good foundation of yoga skills already.
