  1. We live in Phuket and Seabees is a place we trust for great dive service and courses. My husband and I both completed our Rescue diver course with them. They also arrange nice day trips out on the water.

  2. I dived with Lisa, she was so lovely! Very funny and helpful. So professional, definitely made the diving experience worth it. / Nikoline 😁

  3. This was a mini liveaboard for 3 days/ 2 nights. This boat is extremely small, accommodating just 12 guest in tiny cabins. My cabin was about 7ft long and about 40inche wide and not en suite with the toilet at the end of the corridor. The dive platform can only cope with 4 guests and 1 dive guide. So the group were split into 3 groups with a dive guide to each group. The towel are not changed during our stay. The food was ok but nothing special.During our stay we did 10 days in total. However the visibility was very poor and on the last day we were preparing to dive the Boonsung Wreck but aborted due to very poor visibility. The water was never crystal clear with about 10m being the best we could get. Much of the reefs are brown and dead with little life about. Maybe the big stuff was out there but we had no chance of seeing it in such poor conditions.I am glad it was only for 2 nights, I would have struggled with a longer trip on a boat this small.

  4. We did the north tour to Koh Bon and Richelieu Rock out of Khao Lak, 3 days/2 nights live aboard. It was my first live aboard experience, and I don’t think it could’ve gone better. No drama from other passengers, the boat was clean and the crew very attentive. The food, cooked in the tiniest kitchen ever, was delicious and offered all day long. Stefan was our dive guide and he took great care of us. We saw whale sharks, manta rays, cuttlefish, eels, octopus, and fish in spectacular bait balls. Visibility wasn’t great but that’s what brought the BIG creatures, so no complaints here. The trip was more than I could’ve asked for. If you’re thinking about a live aboard, this is a good one!

  5. My girlfriend and I booked two days of diving with another dive company (Explorer—also excellent), and one of the days was on Sea Bees’ boat. It was a fantastic day: the boat was comfortable and extremely well organized, food was the best we had on any day of diving, and the crew did a great job. On the way back they spotted dolphins, and detoured to float alongside them for several minutes. The lead instructor even took the time to send us his dolphin video!

  6. My friends and I booked a snorkeling excursion with Sea Bees to the Similan Islands. The booking agents were great. Did a thorough job explaining the trip. We arrived at the boat.. the crew was enthusiastic and very well organized. The boat was in great condition and very comfortable for a day on the water. I appreciated some shade and very clean conditions. Now to our trip.. our boat was approx 1/4 snorkeling and 3/4 certified divers. About one hour into our excursion, we encountered some engine issues. The crew worked to resolve the issue but to no avail. Woody, the crew leader informed us that we could not make it safely to the Similan islands. He presented an alternative that would salvage the day for the divers, but was not ideal for snorkeling. While I was disappointed, I was so impressed with the effort the crew went to make the best of an unfortunate situation! Hats off!!Our snorkeling guide was Louis. awesome!! We asked him if it would be possible under the circumstances to try an intro dive. Since snorkeling was not really an option. He discussed it with the team and came up with a safe intro dive option for us on the spot. He gave very clear instructions, got us equipped and took us down for a great 30 min dive. I had a great time and felt very safe and supportive. He even found a camera to take down to document our achievement. You could tell that Louis was so happy to introduce us to the sport! It was unfortunate that the engine hod issues. I think you learn a lot about an outfit by how they react to adversity. I was super impressed with the professionalism of this outfit, I would definitely give them another try! I will also go diving again!!

  7. We purchased a float for our 8-year old daughter for use in the pool. Unfortunately it kept slowly deflating. When we brought this to their attention my wife was initially told to find the hole and fix it, and were handed a repair patch. When I went down and questioned the fact that they had sold us a defective float and then asked us to repair it, it took a telephone call to the manager to establish that if there was a hole then it would have deflated in 10 minutes, not over half a day. Although I had explained that we had re-inflated it repeatedly. The resolution was that they took it back but refused to replace it as “the new one may have a hole as well and then what” as Mok (unsure of the spelling but the woman serving us) said, apparently as decided by her manager. Thus robbing our 8-year old of the joy of a float. We won’t be buying anything else there and as an avid Master Scuba Diver I would never dive with a centre that threats their customers in this fashion.

  8. Our family of 3 went for the 1-day diving introduction session. Here’s our experience:- Boat and crew are FANTASTIC. We were on the Excalibur, which was big, comfortable and well-appointed. Ari, Jens and Miss T were fantastic. Friendly, reassuring and very professional. When I got sea sick, Ari took me by the arm to brought to to the side to “feed the fish”. They really are the BEST.- 2 short dives in Racha Yai. Instructors guided us closely, very little margin for error, really. Water was pretty clear, lots of lovely fish.- Great Plan B! Ok, so I sucked at diving (my own fault, really) and bailed on the second dive. Plan B was for Miss T to take me snorkelling, itself a great experience. She pointed out interesting sights (baby squid!!!) and made sure I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. – Cons: I wish they told us upfront (at point of booking) about tipping the crew and instructors. We were only told to bring towels, swim suits and sun block, and so were sadly unprepared at the end of the trip. If you’re a complete noob like we were, please note! They are fab and do deserve a good tip. Sorry guys.- Cons: Phuket traffic can get quite congested. Being based on Mai Khao means a long drive down to Chalong. It’s not their fault, and the transport was very comfortable, but it is what it is. Highly recommended.
