Ohm Shop on Sale is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 5/6 Moo 1, 82160, Thailand
We stopped in this shop to get a few souvenirs for friends/family and absolutely loved it. Prices are great and there is such a good variety of products. The store owner is great and my favorite part is when he pointed out that we both have the same Harry Potter tattoo. Our trip was actually is December of 2018 but I just came across his card and thought I should write a little something for him!
This shop was a one stop place to shop for EVERYTHING. Whether you needed some souveniors, a cold drink, drinks to go or just a little shade (read AIR CONDITIONING in the back), this shop had it all. The owner offered very fair prices and we bought EVERYTHING here. Great selection, great sizes!! Plus, the couple with us bought some beer to go!! If you need they have it, if they don’t have it, dont think you needed it!!!! Plus, the owner was EXTREMELY proud of his TripAdvisor sign. VERY PROUD!!!! Plus, this shop was almost across the street from the 7-11. Do your shopping and head over to the 7-11 for a SLURPEE!!!!!!

Our local driver dropped us in town outside Mr Ohm’s shop. He told us this is the best place in town and cheap too. His TripAdvisor sign stands out amongst the clothes hanging on the street in the breeze. Inside you can find any gift ever imaginable that you would want to take home from Thailand. Even better was the small but well stocked beer/wine shop all the way out the back. So much so we can back to our hotel with 2 6 packs of Leo. Much cheaper than hotel mini bar rates.Mr Ohm is very proud of his shop and loves to talk to the tourists and find out where you are from and show you his wall of tourist photos and comments. I was quite happy to spend my money in his shop and support the local economy. It’s that cheap I didn’t even consider bartering.
When in Koh Yao Noi go to town and get your Thai gifts from Mr Ohm. Anything you can purchase from most of the other shops is stocked here, with a larger selection to choose from and even more. His prices are fair and always has a few discounts going on. He is charming, cheerful, well educated and has a good command of English. So if you are looking for something in particular or can’t find an item just ask. I’m so pleased with our Thai t-shirts which were at 5 for 400THB and the beautiful Thai pashmina shawls I got for myself, friends and family.By the way Mr Ohm is one of the few Buddhist families on this island, so should you want some alcohol do not hesitate to ask him. He has a room full of beer, wine, whisky etc. and the prices are the best around. We stocked on Thai Singh beer for our 1 week holiday so we could take our rented bikes and enjoy spending the day at the beach of our choice.
Mr Ohm’s shop is fantastic for variety of stock and great bargains. Mr Ohm is very friendly, well spoken (English) an will try and get you certain products if he has none in stock. There is no need to barter as his prices are cheaper than other shops on the island.
this shop is a must visit, even just to meet Mr Ohm. What a charming man, he is so welcoming and loves the British as his parents moved over to the UK some time ok. The shop itself is a treasure trove and you cant help but lose yourself in it. His prices are competitive to other stores similar to his in the same area. We purchased a number of items for gifts. Also, the island itself has a large Muslim population and therefore most shops are unable to sell alcohol. Mr Ohm has a historic license for this and has a large array of stock in a separate part of the shop – a good tip for those who like a tipple.
This is the best shop on the island. Mr Ohm sells everything everyone else does but better quality. Also the man himself is a pleasure to talk to, always wearing a big smile. Go here, you won’t be disappointed!

Whilst it’s not the most important thing in a holiday, beer to take home and enjoy on the balcony was something that we wished we’d been able to find on day one so I thought we’d share that we’d found it in this little parade of shops opposite the 7-eleven.
