With over ten years of teaching experience in Chiang Mai, I have dedicated my career to sharing the art of Thai cooking with individuals from all walks of life. My goal is to help students unlock the secrets of authentic Thai dishes while instilling a love for the ingredients that make these meals special.
The essence of my classes lies not just in the cooking techniques, but also in my passion for organic gardening. Bees Garden Cooking School is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 89/12, 50210, Thailand
Our group was picked up by Andy and a driver they hired from our air bnb. They drove us out of the city where we met Embie. She guided us around a local market and explained a bunch of ingredients we would be using. They then took us to their cooking class school (which was amazing) located on their property. She showed us her garden and was very hospitable. She instructed us FIVE different dishes – each one was so good but we were incredibly full. She even gave us a cook book with the ingredients and recipes in it. Dingo is their dog that wanders around the property. So adorable. We had so much fun and Embie’s personality is so fun and charming. I highly recommend this cooking school!! You get the full experience.
The cooking class was probably the best experience we had in Chiang Mai. We were taught so much about the spices and ingredients in the thai kitchen. The hostes and her husband are so welcoming and sweet. We’d definitely recommend doing this class, no matter if you’re an experienced cook or basically never cooked a meal before.
There are plenty of “cooking schools” in Chiang Mai area but this is THE one and only that can give you such a mind blowing experience. Key words here are nature, trust, kindness, joy and authenticity. Bee will take you on a journey, throughout the village market, her garden and to the kitchen, where you will forget who you are and just enjoy. You will cook effortlessly, then maybe take a nap in a hammock… Not to forget about Andrew, Bee’s husband whos enjoyable company was a great start of the day. No words can express this so you must go yourself!
Hosted by Embee and her cheerful husband, this place is magical!After a short visit to the local marketplace, we discovered that the cooking school was in their beautiful garden. Embee offered us to taste a lot of plants and fruits that grow there. Then we started our cooking lesson, making a dish and then consuming it joyfully. We cooked great recipes; fresh and delicious. I am not a cooker, but all the dishes realized were coming out excellent, real northern Thai cuisine.Embee is a passionate cooker and teacher; which shows in her patience and never ending smile. We learnt a lot from her.Bonus: we leaved with a booklet of all the recipes made, so we can make them again at home 🙂 Thank you Andrew for the pick-up and back to our hotel. Sarah & Adam
Amazing cooking class. Everything was thought out from the start to the very end. Going around a local food market and getting to know what will you cook later on helps to understand thai cooking. Every dish that we made was so delicios and so easy to cook that i was in shock despite me never cooking by myslef. This class is a must see when you are in the region <3<3<3
This was the best cooking class ever. Very clean and very nice place between the ricefields. This i can recommand to everybody who visit Chang Mai.

We drove to meet Embee at the local market. Embee’s smile was so welcoming. We honestly felt like family. The market tour was so informative. A terrific way to emerse yourself in the local lifestyle. Once we arrived at the cooking school, Embee toured us through her beautiful ORGANIC Garden. I have never met someone with such passion for healthy living. Embee taught us about so many different plants and their uses. We even sampled a variety of plants and flowers! The cooking school is a dream! Such care and attention to detail was put into its design. A VERY clean, modern outdoor kitchen! Stunning! The meals we prepared were beyond delicious! It’s so obvious that Embee pours her heart into her school. I was sad to leave – if we return to Chiang Mai we most definitely will take another class. Our Thailand trip was unfortunately cut short because of the COVID outbreak. Meeting Embee and Andrew was by far the best part of our trip! It was a true blessing to meet such wonderful people ❤️ We even received a signed cookbook of Embee’s after our class was over!! Thank you ?
Don’t book. I was waiting for two hours and they never showed up to pick me up. I also tried to call the property multiple times and they wouldn’t pick up.
