Super dive center with top service.I was missing camera parts and the center borrowed me what I needed without charge.Did some good dives with instructor Peter.
did not dive with them. but came in for advice as i needed special batteries. although the shop was closed two very friendly people gave me very good directions where to maybe get what i needed and it did work out!
We had the best diving experience with G2S. Ann managed to organize perfectly our 5 day scuba experience, despite the weather not being very cooperative! We’ll surely return for more!Thank you, Ann!
We did our PADI open water qualifying dives with Ann she was a great instructor explaining everything really well. She made us feel comfortable and safe in the water and made the experience really enjoyable. Ann also gave us an insight into local culture and suggested different Thai foods for us to try. Overall we had such a good weekend learning how to dive and we will definitely be back.
I was having trouble deciding between all the liveaboards to the Similan Islands (also my first Liveaboard!), and Ann helped me narrow the choice down with advice and her own personal experience of the boats. She then helped me get nitrox certified and equipment rental (the eq was high quality and in great condition, much better than what I would have gotten on the boat!). She went above and beyond and answered all my newb questions quickly and coordinated everything with the boat, which made my trip stress free and I had such an amazing time. I can only imagine what it would be like diving and getting other certs through them. Thank you for all your help!!
I walked into the dive center one day during our holiday to arrange some diving. I was greeted by Ann, who quickly showed me my diving options, I wanted to dive a wreck and also Richelieu rock. All sorted with no problems, very well organised dive center and friendly staff, good diving trips too, well recommended.
I need to say first off that we were not able to go on this tour. Our tour was canceled due to weather. BUT I wanted to write a review anyway to say that Ann is a great communicator and if just our short time spent talking with her is any indication of how she is as a guide then I will love this tour when I do it next time. She came to our hotel the afternoon before our tour was scheduled to happen – in this case she came Christmas Day! Because she wanted to discuss the developing weather and how it would impact the boat and thus our experience. My child has sensory processing disorder and is high functioning autistic. She knew this would not be a great time for my kid and wanted to present the situation for us to make the best decision for our family. No tour operator wants to cancel a tour because that is how they make their income and no tourist wants their tour canceled because that’s where the fun comes from. But it was so lovely to have a caring guide who wanted to make sure her clients got a good memorable experience and not just a ride from hell to retell to their friends for decades. We agreed it was not the right time to go on the tour due to the weather. She discussed better times of year for us to come back if we wanted to. We were refunded the full amount of the trip thru TripAdvisor without issues. I hope to get back up to Khao Lak soon and have Ann take us out as I still very much want to see the beautiful waters around Similan Islands. Thank you Ann.
Go2Similan SCUBA diving centre is a place where passion for the ocean meets exceptional customer care. The centre is run by Ann and Gary. Ann is a PADI Course Director. The only one in the area. It’s heartwarming to experience Ann’s ability to cater to divers of all levels, from the seasoned explorer like myself to the nearly first-timer with butterflies in their stomach like my wife. Her expertise not only ensures safety and confidence underwater but also transforms a simple dive into a memorable adventure. It’s professionals like Ann who remind us that with the right guidance, the depths of the sea are accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Her dedication to service shines as brightly as the Thai sun on the Andaman Sea’s surface, making every dive an experience to cherish. The highlight of the dives I did with Go2Similan was certainly Richelieu Rock. Richelieu Rock, located in the Andaman Sea, is one of Thailand’s premier dive sites and a dream destination for scuba enthusiasts. Known for its abundance of marine life, divers at Richelieu Rock can expect to encounter a diverse range of sea creatures, from tiny seahorses to majestic whale sharks. The site is accessible via scuba diving charters that offer day trips and liveaboard experiences, catering to various levels of diving proficiency. The dive site is part of the Surin National Park and is recommended for divers with at least an Advanced Open Water Diver certification due to its open ocean location and the potential for strong currents. For those looking to explore this underwater paradise, Go2Similan offers excursions from Khao Lak, with options ranging from single-day outings to multi-day liveaboard safaris. With its stunning underwater topography of pinnacles, overhangs, and small caves, Richelieu Rock is a site that promises an unforgettable diving adventure.I cannot recommend Go2Similan highly enough and look forward to diving with Ann and her great team again in future.
What to say….thank you Ann and team! Such an amazing stay. Firstly, I am not great at remembering to leave reviews but for G2S and Ann, it is simply a must. I was planning a trip to Thailand around the same time that my great friend Richard was completing his dive master course at G2S. He suggested that we do a dive trip together. I had only previously had my open water certification and had not dove in 10 years. I planned to do a refresher course and Richard suggested that I also go for my advanced certification. All was going great until I got in the water. My heart rate elevated, I felt I was struggling for air. I was ready to call the trip off. Richard and Ann both took their time with me to get me comfortable in the pool and I felt I was good to go so off to The Junk we went for a liveaboard. All was going great until the first check dive. I dropped off the Zodiak, reg in and couldn’t breathe. Ann immediately recognized my distress, talked to me for a few seconds and asked me to take her hand. We descended together. My heart rate came down, my breathing stabilized and I was in awe! The check dive was in honeymoon bay….. It was amazing! So much coral, so many fish, so peaceful. If not for Ann, I truly would have missed it all. After 3 days of diving, 4 dives per day, I could take pictures, had great buoyancy control, greatly improved air consumption, and could navigate and identify fish. The dives in the Similan’s are also not to be missed. Completely breathtaking and I would have missed it all if not for Ann and G2S. If you are planning the Similan’s then G2S is the who to call. Thank you Ann and Gary, and Aew, and Richard for an unforgettable experience.Well, that’s me off to buy new dive gear! Totally hooked and will be back to G2S, daughter in tow.
Myself (Divemaster) and my wife (Advanced) booked with G2S while staying in khao lak recently in October. From the outset of booking the day diving, the experience was very well organised, both of us noted after leaving the shop that the team were very clear, consise and explained everything that was going on. The whatsaap chat helped with any further questions between the day of booking and the day of diving as we had 4 or 5 days between them. Both me and my wife are experienced divers with a lot of “bucket list dives” already done. We were expecting maybe a more “average dive” as the main reason was to avoid our 1 year clock resetting and needing to do a refresher. This WAS NOT the case and the Boonsung wreck site was teaming with fish: barracuda schools, batfish, lion fish, scorpion fish, stone fish, multiple moray eels and other schooling fish surrounding the wreck. The visibility, which initially looked to not be great actually opened up around 10m deep and was approx 10m at depth. There was a short delay in the morning which was well communicated and not the fault of anyone at the dive shop – we actually looked foreward to a extra 30 minutes in bed!Special thanks goes out to Ann, my wife was a bit less confident while descending and she stayed with her for the first 5 minutes to put her at ease. Additionally I was quite seasick in between dives and was looked after and given the push to do the second dive as I immediately felt better underwater. The dive shop was priced “in line with the market” in the area however had it been more expensive we would have felt like it was justified due to the premium service feel and great communication and organisation. Would have done more dives had we not been flying 2 days after diving.
We travelled from very far just to dive in Similan Islands. This agency took money from us for Similan Islands and then when they took us into the sea and we did dive the instructor told us that this was not Similan Islands and the agency sent us to another island instead. Felt like they cheated us after I specifically asked them on what’s app that I wanted to go to Similan Islands. When we confronted them, they tried to again lie to us saying that they had told us that Similan is full ro they will send us diving to another place. I have a screenshot to prove they lied again and did not even bother to offer any compensation. They charged us 10,600 Baht which is not a small amount and did not even bother to give us proper information. Avoid them as they are worthy of tricking tourists for their money.
