My partner and 10 year old son went riding with Tang and he was amazing, he has an incredible connection with his horses and was able to guide and teach at different levels. They loved riding along the beautiful beach and booked a second ride as soon as they got back from the first! Highly recommended for anyone regardless of riding experience
I participated in the morning ride and it was incredible. Tang was a great teacher, looked after his horses so well and made me feel at ease after a long time of not riding. I would recommend this to riders with experience or without, it’s a great way to learn about the western way of riding. The views at the beach were stunning and I loved listening to Tangs love of nature and animals. Thanks again for a fantastic experience!
Loved this experience! Tang was so friendly and even bought us water at the end of the session from the shop. All the horses are lovely and well cared for. I love that he only offers early morning or late afternoon rides to keep them out of the blistering heat. You have a ride on the beach and for anyone who’s comfortable they can canter and do a little jump over a log in the forest. Highly recommend even if you’re a beginner/ never ridden before!
I went riding at Pirates in Koh Lanta and can honestly say it was one of the most memorable equestrian experiences I have had in the 30 years I have ridden. This is western riding at its best ! The owner of this establishment is a true gentleman and a gifted horseman. The horses are well trained, well looked after and beautiful. For complete novices this is a safe option if you are honest about your abilities. If you are an experienced rider, this is also very rewarding as you are given the opportunity to gallop on uninhabited beautiful beaches. My one recommendation is to be honest about your experience as all but 2 of the horses are Arab blood and possibly not a novice ride. The owner is one of the best horsemen I have met and took the time to teach as well as allow guests to enjoy the experience. On a safety note – there are 3 riding helmets and most choose not to use, but if, like me, you are a safety freak, you might want to bring your own hat or get in there quickly to grab one. Totally amazing place – don’t miss it !
Great morning spent horse riding. We were complete beginners but the staff were super friendly and helped us feel immediately at ease. Had a nice ride down to the beach and back round to the stables. The kids loved it. Highly recommended.
I didn’t even get to try here as was closed for New Year. I don’t have any issue with them taking a public holiday, but I had been in contact a week before and asked to book and was only when I followed up 2 days before they said they would be closed. If I had more notice I could have booked another day. I was really looking forward to it and brought my riding hat and Jodphurs with me so was a total waste…
Very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The horses are clearly loved and well cared for. They listen and, therefore, the experience feels entirely safe. The location is beautiful, a deserted beach. The stables are well run with excellent conditions for the horses. Tang and his family are great fun and very hospitable. Tang knows his craft, so you always feel in safe hands. Stop off for a drink at the Pirates Bar and meet Rosy who runs the bar. What a delightful man. Thoroughly recommend this activity .
We had an amazing morning with Tang. The horses are very well trained and well kept. My boyfriend is a complete beginner and he felt completely safe on his horse Dana. It was great to learn about the history of the farm and the beach was beautiful! Thank you!
I had the most wonderful afternoon ride. All the horses were very well taken care of and Tang displayed brilliant horsemanship. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect activity for all riding abilities.
Had the most amazing time horse riding! The horses are incredible and really looked after and cared for. Tan was really kind, helpful and knowledgeable throughout the whole morning. He helped us whenever needed and answered all our questions about his lovely rescued horses! Thanks cowboy Tan!
