Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 55, Moo 5, Huay Kaew Road, 50300, Thailand
I really like this mall. It’s a nice break from the heat and frenetic pace of the city. It’s clean and easy to get around in. We go for the variety of international restaurants. I have included the mall in my blog “My 5 Favorite Things to Do in Chiang Mai.”
After 3 years of Covid, managed to travel Chiangmai by budget air only. Still a wonderful & nice place to venture . Took a taxi from hotel to all shopping area. Will travel again next year
We ate at Imjai Vegan three years ago when we visited Chang Mai, and the food was great back then. We visited Chang Mia again recently (August 2023) and the food is still delicious and the cost is still very reasonable.
This is the main shopping mall at Chiang Mai’s hip western neighborhood. Maya is the typical global mall with famous brands and restaurant chains. The supermarket and food court underground are great for a clean, modest meal and souvenir shopping.
When compared to Bangkok malls this mall does not come anywhere near. Food court is average. Expensive and thus people with family friends may enjoy. I am more of a Street gal
Be sure to check out the basement food court ,especially Imjai Vegan booth for great Thai food , a wide variety of family recipes.
This is a shopping mall with lots of shops, restaurants, and even supermarket. Especially you can make a choice from various Thai foods in its food court. Please note that only prepaid card is allowed for the payment in the food court. You can get a prepaid card and charge money at the information counter at the entrance of the food court.
3 days ago i was served not properly cooked chicken in a kao soi ghai soup in the food court downstairs – i saw it with the 2 nd last bite tht approx 1 cm of the bone was still blooody and uncooked – i wished myself luck which didnt work – 2 hours later back at home i collapsed and started emptying myself for the next 36 hours – i wanted to complain to the shop in the centre of the court but they just laughed at me – i wanted to complain to the management …. you need to write your complaint on a small piece of paper and than post it into the complains box….and probably at the end it used to fill up the ingredients in the food served – rediculous – if you serve this to small children or elderly they will have a serious life threatening issue .i think they have responsibility to check their staff works professional …..but obviousely responsibility is not thai peoples best friend — i hope 1 day they ll get their sh……- i m not going here any more i guess thats understandable
Maya Lifestyle Shopping Mall is definitely the modern popping counterpart to old city Chiang Mai. It’s luxurious and higher on the price scale. It’s clean, fresh, and upbeat. It fits more the young hip crowd. Lots and lots of food options. Though they don’t match the quality of the food stalls in the Old City. At rush hour the traffic is notoriously congested. If you’re taking Grab, I’d walk up one of the main streets to be able to catch the Grab transport faster.
Maya mall is located in Nimman street(corner with Huay Kaew road)….it’s not a very big Mall but it is nice and with good atmosphere….has everything you can find in a mall(restaurants…..food park……shops with clothes and shoes….accessories….banks…cinema….electronic shops….internet and telephone shops…massage shop……playgarden for children)………..parking …i think o G floor have car exhibition area!!the outside area is nice(has a fountain and some small temple)…also you can find the red songthaew(baht bus) of the Chiang Mai and tuk tuk and of course taxi….the prices are a little high in the shops(thats noraml because they have to pay rent for the shop)but in gennerally it is and nice and quiet mall
This is a pretty good size shopping mall in a town like Chiangmai. It has a few floors with a cinema and a floor for restaurants. Other shops are mainly clothes, souvenirs, luggage, sportswear. We just walked around and I managed to buy something for myself. It’s not crowded on a weekday.
