  1. It’s been over 3 years since my last visit. As others have mentioned, the store’s selection of fine fabrics is their strong point. The only change I noticed was a smaller array of men’s clothes and accessories to choose from. While stylish shirts can cost over 3000 baht, not a bargain in my view.

  2. This has always been my “must go to” place in Bangkok pre-Pandemic. Shopping is still good here because their products are timeless in style and excellent quality. However, the range and variety of products have been greatly reduced. I didn’t buy as much as I did before but you can still get good buys.

  3. Jim Thompson Factory Outlets opens daily from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. However, my cousin-in-law brought my friends & I to the outlet in the mid-afternoon after our disappointing lunch at Eathai. It was the right time as it was empty & we had the place all to ourselves. We went straight to the women’s floor & looked around. There were many items at discounted prices. However, we were disappointed as the outlet did not have t-shirts in our size. Fortunately, my soulmate found a dress in her size. Another friend & my partner bought something else which was not clothes related. As for me, I didn’t get anything. If not mistaken, the Jim Thompson Factory Outlet has approximately 5 levels. They have dedicated floors for ready-made clothing, loose fabrics which you can buy by the metre & interior furnishing materials for curtains & pillows. Truthfully, I was more interested in the fabrics for the house as they were of fine quality while the designs were a mixture of abstract with bold & bright colours. Although we didn’t get to buy what we wanted, we were still happy with the visit. It’s not every day that we are privy to bales & bales of fabric material from Jim Thompson. You hardly get to see in their boutiques what we had seen in their factory outlet.

  4. I love the quality of Jim Thompson’s fabrics. I highly recommend a visit to his home, tour the house, watch them spin the silk from worms and eat at the restaurant. However his prices are out of my budget, so in the past when visiting Bangkok I would go to his outlet store. This year I was disappointed to find the prices had doubled and the selection had halved. ? I strongly advise you don’t waste your time or money going there.

  5. Small inventory, big prices, don’t bother. Years ago this was a fun place to visit but post COVID this is no longer worth the trouble.

  6. The place is in the suburb of Bangkok but easy to go by BTS. It has a good show room. On the 3rd/4 floor they have some men/ lady shirts & dresses, bags. These are maybe previous season products but still good and nice designs. You may find something interesting for you but good if you have time, if you want to have everything done in one trip in your short schedule, maybe better go to their shops downtown.

  7. This is the outlet of Jim Thompson. There aren’t many choices, the clothes sizes end for xlarge mostly for men. There arent many handbags on sale, usually I found that they were the same price the ones I wanted to get. However there are a lot of clothes that have gone to sale which are from the last seasons. Honestly I bought about 7 dresses couple of tshirts and many different stuff which I have been wearing a lot. The quality of the clothes are incredible, Jim Thompson is a brand that I have been getting since years and the clothes never get old, it is top quality.

  8. This place is a must visit if you love textiles! I am a fabric hound and the Jim Thompson outlet checked all the boxes. I bought so much high-end fabric for great prices. I had to buy a suitcase to take it all home. I wish I knew someone in Bangkok to go to this outlet and buy monthly for me! Any takers let me know. I could buy half the store. 1- 864-590-9098.

  9. A visit to both the Jim Thompson House and also to the Factory Outlet were always “must dos” when in Bangkok. The outlet is 5 minutes walk from the Bang Chak BTS Station and has floors full of wonderful Jim Thompson silks to buy by the metre. It also used to stock a great range of clothing and accessories but sadly on this visit the selection was disappointing. I struggled to buy anything, when normally I come away with bags of goodies. Jim Thompson has never been cheap but the prices have increased massively since my last visit; £70 for a Men’s cotton Polo shirt is not a bargain in my book. Sizes were also suited to those XS and XXL! Also the staff who had always been helpful & attentive simply stayed behind the counter and talked amongst themselves. Hopefully on my next visit it will be back to it’s former glory of well stocked selections & variety and proactive staff looking to help. No JT presents for anyone this year!

  10. If you are looking for best selection and price on Jim Thompson goods this is the place. Great selection, best prices and friendly staff.
