  1. It was an incredible experience. The elephants were super kind and gentle and we were able to swim with them. The elephants were also really happy and they made everyone laugh a lot.

  2. After visiting as a couple in 2023 we came back to visit Sandee and her friends in 2024 with our sons and their partners. Our halfday visit once again exceeded our expectations. We loved learning about Asian Elephants and their African relations. The educational information was great. We spent a huge amount of time with all of the elephants and had a non-stop abundance of food to feed them. We were lucky enough to complete ‘health’ checks and delighted in the sheer enjoyment of just watching. Obviously, baby Honey was a cheeky hit with all our family as was Sandee in her retirement years. We understand this interaction isn’t for everyone, but we delighted in what we saw as happy healthy elephants. From our family to yours highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.

  3. It was one of the best experiences of my life. We booked the elephant care package and was picked up at our hotel, the staff were so welcoming and talked us through the day and the elephants and their personalities. We were then able to feed all the elephants and speak to their person. After that we went and was shown how to prepare the sugarcane and make the herby balls and then went to feed those to the elephants. We were provided water and watermelon throughout to ensure we were hydrated. We then went to bath our elephant (we chose the grandma Sandy), it was such an incredible moment. All of this was also documented through photos and videos for us by our guide and there was even a photographer who came down to take some photos whilst we were bathing the elephants. Once this was done we headed back to the seating area and we’re blown away by being provided a photo frame with 3 photographs from the day at no extra cost. We tipped Sandy’s handler (Da) and the Sanctuary for providing us memories which will last a lifetime. We were also provided a voucher for lunch at the Memories bar which was a few minutes walk down the road at the beautiful beach and then picked up again to be taken back to our hotel. I would come back to Thailand just for this alone, overall for 2 of us for this amazing experience it costs us around £150… Absolutely incredible value. The elephants are extremely well cared for also and have such a beautiful bond with their handlers. Thank you to the Elephant Home for all the work they do and for sharing that experience with us.

  4. My wife and I visited the Elephant Home and spent some time with the elephants including washing one in a pond. During the next few days I developed a rash on my hands which I put down to heat rash but I now think it might have been caused by my close contact with the elephant. I did some research and found that there are cases of travellers developing a rash after contact with elephants, it is called Dermatophilus Congolensis it usually appears on a person’s legs after riding an elephant. So if you do visit the Elephant Home and subsequently develop a rash then it MIGHT have been caused by your contact with the elephants.

  5. We had a brilliant half day with Nutty. She was very friendly and so great to teach us a lot about rheir elephantsWe can highly recommend it as a family Thank you!!!

  6. Loved our morning spent here, washing our baby elephant. From walking to the water hole to getting splashed with mud it was such joy.

  7. An outstanding place to experience Asian elephants up close and thankfully ethical. Feeding is a fantastic experience in itself, it was 100 baht or 200 baht per basket depending on size there is an initial 100 baht entrance fee but keep your ticket and if you return again during your holiday the entrance is free. We went for the bathing the elephant experience and it did not disappoint from start to finish. Looked after by the staff who were more than helpful, friendly and courteous but also took video and photos on our phone which were superb. Cannot rate this place any higher than allowed. Cheaper also than advertised on the website. If you decide to make a visit you will not be disappointed.

  8. We booked our elephant bathing along with the bamboo rafting & at 3600 but for 2 worked out at excellent value, we didn’t want anything where you ride the elephants as this is so damaging to their spines. They have 9 elephants on site all females but I do question why the mum of our 3 year old Karga/Konga (I think) was in Koh Samui & not with her). They do appear to be very well cared for (didn’t see sleeping facilities) & loved the bathing we scrubbed her with a brush & then covered her in mud & washed her down again, much to our delight she soaked my hubby several times, out taxi driver took loads of photos, there were also some available from the site which we did buy as they were 300 bhat each, a very enjoyable hour (showers are very primitive, bucket with holes lol). Would certainly do it again!

  9. Thank you for the most amazing time. The elephants are truly the most important thing at Elephant Home. We have made special memories which we will never forget. Thank you

  10. Do your research before you book any of these elephant trips.I actually felt a bit uncomfortable here as we thought we had booked an elephant sanctuary so we were expecting to see elephants who had been rescued and were now being looked after well until the end but these elephants were little more than pets. The elephant we were spending time with was very distressed and kept lifting her leg up and shaking her head – we were told at the beginning that if this happens, back off so we did as it means the elephant has had enough. The guide kept telling us no it was ok but it was pretty clear to us that the elephant was not happy and was pretty fed up which made us feel terrible and we quickly realised these elephants are basically just trained for tourism.Make sure you do you research before you book. I’ve given 2 stars because the elephants are at least fed well but that was about it.
