  1. Wetzone boat and crew were amazing. Clean conditions, very attentive staff, great boat captain and crew! Had an amazing time and would do again!! Thank you Lori

  2. We spent 3 days diving (4 divers) and 2 of those days with a snorkeler. From the very first communication we knew we were dealing with a well-run, professional dive shop. The boat is clean, well maintained and well managed. From the dive guides to the captain to the crew, we were well taken care of and most of all safe. Special thanks to Chris for his energy, his humor and his knowledge. He made all of our trips the absolute best experience.

  3. This is the best company I’ve ever dived with! Very well organized the staff were friendly and amazing especially Alex! He was absolutely stunning, informative, and professional he always treated everyone individually. The boat was very clean. They had Thai food for lunch it was sooo good there was also for vegetarians. Definitely will dive with Wetzone again!

  4. Richelieu Rock and Koh Bon (west of Khao Lak) were the dive sites – incredible! We all had the benefit of three very experienced Dive Masters who were knowledgeable, efficient and very helpful in all aspects. In addition members of the boat crew were more than competent in all activities. They also collect you from your hotel! The boat is modern and fast so destinations were reached rapidly (not much more than an hour and a quarter); all on-board equipment more than met standards expected. All in all it went very well indeed and Wetzone are to be congratulated in providing such a memorable diving adventure.

  5. If you’re looking forlspeedboat day trips to Similans for diving you probably can’t do better than WetZoneDivers on their Blue Marlin boat. Facilities, staff, experience are all superbly run, safety is primary, great guides, lunch and free sodas provided, local pick ups included. Boat Manager Chris and guide Louis both excellent. All round 5* experiences diving Richlieu Rock and Koh Bon.

  6. I’ve had the opportunity to dive with many schools worldwide, and Wetzone Divers truly stands out. Prior to the first dive, I met with the owner, who provided a thorough briefing, arranged all gear sizes, and made sure everything was set for a smooth experience. They also offered complimentary pick-up and drop-off from the hotel to the boat’s departure point, which added to the convenience. The water visibility was outstanding, and the instructors were warm and welcoming, ensuring we felt safe and comfortable throughout. The marine life was incredible, with an unforgettable sighting of a whale shark. Between dives, we enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken curry and rice, with vegetarian options available. The small group sizes of around four divers made for a relaxed, intimate experience, and the dive boat was exceptionally comfortable – almost luxurious for a dive boat.

  7. As professional divers my boyfriend and I couldn’t recommend Michael’s dive operation more. We did 6 days of diving a total of 12 dives with Wetzone Divers over our two week stay in Khao Lak. On our check in to the dive centre we were given a warm welcome from Michael and importantly a clear picture of what to expect. Michael briefed us on all aspects of the trip from the boat set up, journey times and procedures, dive sites and marine park standards (reef safe sun cream, no gloves, no hooks.) Always great to know that safety sits paramount when heading out on a dive and Wetzone holds this standard as paramount. Having arrived in Khao Lak in rather tumultuous weather (late start to high season) we had our first dive cancelled two days in advance due to the high wind. Having just two weeks in a place with so much to do, knowing what you’re doing or not doing in advance is really crucial to allow you to make other plans, so we appreciated not having to wait around to find out about the dives. The first dive day was still a little choppy, due to the direction of the dive site we slammed headfirst into waves all the way. It was not a decision taken without caution and full consideration for the duration of the outwards journey, we had been informed we may need to head back before we deposited, but we were happy to take the risk (bring us to Richelieu!!!) I’m very happy to say that this was the only really rough day on the sea but arguably speedboats don’t sit well with everyone, something to keep in mind if you suffer motion sickness. That being said, they brief this fully before even starting the trip and offer out free anti nausea tablets with a clear warning of the benefits and side effects of taking too many.. seeing unicorns and rainbows underwater may be one of them. The boat crew and captain provided professionalism and prioritised safety on each trip whilst the dive guides took attentive care of their guests. We dived as a buddy team but appreciated Louis showing us the frog fish and Ruben pointing out the cuttlefish. Thanks to all the instructors and guides, including Pepe and Nils. You’ll be in great hands to dive with any of the team this season! The boat is great, although we have our own gear it’s clear to see the rental equipment is in great shape and well taken care of. The lunches provided us with some of the most flavoursome and well made Thai food we had during by our stay and the plastic free refillable water bottle system is wonderful, great to see dive centres genuinely sticking by their eco friendly status from the retainer tank on the toilet to the suncream to the water bottles and complimentary fizzy drinks in glass bottles. The complimentary taxis from the hotel to the boat and back were well organised and timely each day too, each day we were greeted warmly on pick up by a member of the wetzone team. Then we get to the diving, well, it’s really down to expectations and individual experiences, but as a couple who have worked and dived in some truly beautiful, remote and untouched reefs around the world, we would undoubtedly say this stands out as amongst the best we’ve experienced. Genuinely hoping it remains to be as respected and protected by all the dive operations as it is by Wetzone divers, to preserve its magnificent ecosystem, captivating behaviour and natural beauty for generations to come. We’ve witnessed stunning dive sites get ruined in a matter of months due to guides inability to respect the reef over the opportunity for a good tip, ultimately it is down to divers to respect the reef and dive within their means. Richelieu’s typography can leave some new divers a bit overwhelmed when there’s a bit of current there, so please be sure to watch your fins and stay at a fair distance if you’re not too confident. With so much to see it’s better not to get too close but to stand back and just enjoy the show! With great thanks to Michael and all his team, until next time, happy bubbles!

  8. First time in Khao Lak and really enjoyed the professional and friendly service of Wetzone Divers Khao Lak. Starts with the check-in progress and continues when entering the speedboat. Guides are amazing and the boat crew is super helpful and friendly. Went to Koh Tachai today and had 2 wonderful dives at different spots. Looking forward to the next few dives

  9. Traveled to Thailand for 2 weeks over Christmas stayed at Le Meridien just North of Khao Lak. This was a good choice as the Dive centre picked up en route to the boat (Blue Marlin) which was moored further North again. Last to be picked up and first to be dropped off. Booked 12 dives in advance from UK which was worth doing as it guaranteed Nitrox (free) for all my dives. Michael the boss very informative and quick to respond to Q&A’s.DIVE CENTRE:Only visited the office twice. Was clean & tidy and the Staff friendly & approachable.Took my own equipment which was stored and transported when required. The rental equipment looked in good order looking at the customers that were using it. Pick ups on time. Use 12l aluminium cylinders yolk/int or DIN FIT.BLUE MARLIN:Have been diving since 2003 and can say it is the best dive boat i have ever been on.Clean, tidy, organised and fast. Caters for smokers. Food & drinks on board to everyone’s taste. My only gripe was not the boat or staff but other customers who were not tidy with their kit. You can imagine with 20 divers on board !STAFF/BOAT CREW:Could not fault them. I salute you all.BRIEFINGS:X3. First was introduction, seat allocation & who your guide was.Second was on the boat for safety etc.Third diver brief by your guide.A well thought out system as it appeared the more experienced divers and extended dive times were toward the rear of the boat (first in and last out).DIVE SITES:Completed all three advertised:Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. Outstanding.Aborted Koh Tachai once because of strong currents. Went to a local reef then returned 2 hours later, no current. Also dived Boonsung wreck with another Company, Sea Bees. This was sorted out by Wetzone who picked up, dropped off and ensured my equipment was at the correct place. Overall brilliant,as good as the Maldives !KIT USED:Aqualung Rogue.Apeks XL4 Ocea regs.1.5mm wetsuit vest, long sleeved rash vest & shorts.Water temp 28/29 degrees.Deepest dive 29.8mLongest dive 63 minutes. Value for the money, multi dive discount applied averaged £40 a dive. Half the price of the Maldives !!Thanks to:MichaelGuiseppeRonanJean- LouisNiels & Glen. Also the other Staff.Well worth trying these guys. Would use again. Mai pen rai (no problems)

  10. I went diving on two days with Wetzone divers and thankfully they were able to accommodate my last request to go to Richelieu Rock and Ko Bon. I thought Ruben was an excellent dive master who made me realize I had been carrying too many weights and was very attentive and caring. I also worked with Louis on one day and he is an excellent photographer as well. The communication was very frequent and good and they were always on time to pick up and drop off. My only feedback is that while this is a very multi-lingual dive company and happens to have a lot of Germans signing up for dives because the owners and instructors speak German, please do keep in mind to speak in English for those who aren’t fluent in German. On my surface interval we were floating for quite a while and the dive master and divers were all talking in German and I didn’t know what was going on. So I recommend being aware of that.Second, I wish the Thai boat guys were more attentive. I had not inflated my BCD all the way and the strong surface current was carrying me away from the line. I kept shouting out to the boat guys. Finally a small boat from another dive company rescued me and brought me back to the line where we realized my BCD wasn’t fully inflated hence the “sinking feeling”The anti fog on the boat also has no effect and seems diluted. I recommend bringing your own anti-fog.The boat otherwise is great and has a bathroom. The Thai food in the middle of the dives was too spicy for me so I just ate the rice. If you aren’t accustomed to eating spicy curry before a dive I recommend you bring your own snacks and food.

  11. Highly recommend! We were a group of 5 and wanted to book a dive for the next day on short notice. The wetzone divers team was super nice and accommodating to our last minute request. Pepe was a fantastic dive master and we really enjoyed our dives at the Similan islands. Thanks to the team for making it possible! We really appreciated the great service and the super kind and patient staff!

  12. Ronnie was an amazing dive master and he shared with the whole group the great photos he took during the two dives at Richelieu Rock.

  13. Very well organised and managed trips – highly recommend! Visited Richlieu rock and Koh Bon with Micha and his team. Very professional and competent – which means you are both safe and very well looked after. Both destinations are fantastic, although of course you can’t guarantee what you’re going to find there. The boat (the Blue Merlin) is fast and comfortable – recognising she takes you across a lot of open sea very quickly. Great crew, far better lunch than could reasonably be expected. Dive masters also very good.If you are looking to dive here – I recommend this operation. Very good indeed.

  14. Joined Wetzone divers for a dive trip to Richelieu Rock. Unfortunately, due to rough conditions, the trip was changed midway to an alternate site called Boonsung wreck. Appreciate the safety mindset of this company. All instructions, briefings, communications were done clearly and professionally. The speed boat MV Blue Marlin was a well kept 4 outboard engine speetboat with covered seating area for 25 pax. The crew of 3 were nice and professional. The dive instructors were well qualified (mine was named Matt), took good care of us divers, and made us feel safe and took us to explore the wreck to see many interesting marine life. Would definitely hit them up again the next time I’m in town, and hopefully the weather next time will cooperate and allow me to make it to Richelieu Rock.

  15. “Immersing ourselves in the breathtaking waters of Richelieu Rock, our expert guides led us on a fishing adventure like no other. The crystal-clear waters (visibility of over 30 meters) offered a glimpse into an underwater world teeming with an incredible variety of fish, from majestic predators to colorful reef inhabitants. With the ocean currents at a tranquil pace, we were free to focus on the thrill of reeling in a catch, creating unforgettable memories amidst the stunning marine landscape.”
