We live in BKK and spent a few (hot) hours on the trail here and the kids (6 & 9) absolutely loved it. It is still new and being very well maintained and it isn’t that big which makes it feel quite safe with a family although we were the only people there probably due to the heat! There are two tracks – a 500m blue, totally flat circuit but from which you can dip in and out of the black mountain biking circuit. Lots of ramps, ups, downs and tight turns. It is probably a bit far out if you are a tourist without transport, but if you have a car (and sat nav!) it is well worth the trip. It is inexpensive (200bt entry pp) and bikes and helmets were available to hire, also at reasonable prices. There were a number of cafes and restaurants nearby so you could make a day of it. The Peppermint Park Café at the entrance to the park has just opened and was really excellent. The food was good restaurant quality; delicious and beautifully presented and they had a good variety of Thai and Western dishes. The menu was all in Thai (although this will change apparently) but the English speaking owner gave us a run down of what was on offer. I would definitely recommend it. One warning check the park opening times as they seem subject to change with the season. Current opening is 4pm until 10pm, probably due to the heat, but the park was open all day when we went on a bank holiday.
The park is about half an hour away from Bangkok city(without traffic) There’s bikes for rent. The park is about 500m round which is not too big. Entrance fee is a little too expensive but worth it!
