  1. I went to many gyms in Bangkok and this is one of the best gyms by far. I stayed two months at Khongsitta and I must say that both acomodation and training were great.. the group classes are usually between 8-10 people wich is perfect because you get the personal atention of the trainers which are very friendly and got a lot of experience. Is a great place to come both from beginners and pro fighters. Also if you are interested in fighting they can set you up with fights.

  2. Wonderful authentic Muay Thai training experience at Khongsittha. The trainers are amazing and work hard to improve your technique.

  3. Amazing place with amazing coachs. If you want to train, stay fit or fight, this is the best place. Welcome beginners and experienced fighters. Fells like a family.

  4. 10/10 would recommend! This was our first time ever doing Muay Thai and the classes were well structured to fit all abilities. We started with 2 private classes before joining the group sessions and the standard of training was very high in both. The instructors are very knowledgeable and friendly, with great support throughout all the classes. The classes are certainly a challenge but they are catered well to mixed abilities. The gym itself has a great atmosphere with all staff and people in the classes being so welcoming. Overall it was an amazing experience- thank you to all the trainers. Will definitely be returning when we are next in Bangkok!

  5. I visited first time Khongsittha in 2023.I came back one year later alone(First time I was with a friend). This timed I stayed 17 nights. For me it was the perfect trip.I have nothing to complain about.Clean rooms,Quality classes,Friendly trainers and all levels students.I recommend visiting Khongsittha if you want to train Muay Thai and get fit.100% I am coming back.

  6. What has now turned into a yearly pilgrimage to Khongsittha Muay Thai Gym in Bangkok has come to an end. For the 3rd time in the last 4 years, I have returned for a month at a time to eat, sleep, and train Muay Thai at a place I consider a home away from home. Each visit has been even more enjoyable than the last, and this one was no exception. From the daily morning smile and greetings by the Kiatthada Resort staff, to the trainers helping with all aspects of technique, bag work, pad work, and sparring, these past 30 days have been unforgettable.Aside from the training at the gym, exploring more local restaurants was another highlight of this recent trip. Working and practicing ordering dishes in Thai was a great way to try and connect with a culture that I have come to love and continue to try and learn more about each visit.I want to give a special thank you to Kru Jean for helping me complete the sak yant tattoo pieces that I started 4 years ago. From the weekly motorbike rides to get new pieces done and helping with the entire process, he has helped me understand and feel even more connected to the country of Thailand and I couldn’t ask for anything more.I’d also like to thank all of the Kru’s and also all the new friends and training partners that made this experience that much better. Being able to help out people brand new to Muay Thai and also having experienced sparring partners that helped elevate my training is all part of the wonderful experience of sharing a sport that we all have a fondness for.Lastly thank you to Sean Fagan for hosting the original camp back in 2020 that started all of this traveling adventure and Matthew Deane for creating such an amazing gym/resort and training atmosphere!

  7. Khongsitta Muay Thai: A Disrespectful, Unprofessional, and Exploitative OperationI stayed at Khongsitta for just over 3 months, hoping to immerse myself in a world-class training environment. Instead, I encountered a poorly managed, profit-driven gym that, I believe disrespects the spirit of Muay Thai, operates unprofessionally, and fails to provide the value it promises.Khongsitta is a beginners tourist gym, but markets itself as a very misleading fight gym hosting world class champions; As the owner Matt Dean admitted, “We’re a fun gym” – not a fight gym. To me, this trivializes the whole art and spirit of Muay Thai, which is deeply rooted in Thai culture, history, and respect. The gym’s approach treats Muay Thai as a commodity, a product to sell, rather than a way of life.Unprofessional Dynamics and FavoritismThe environment at Khongsitta is riddled with unprofessionalism. Favoritism is noticeable, with certain trainees receiving special treatment. For example, I observed one female trainee spending time with the lead trainer outside of the gym on coffee and dinner outings. Meanwhile, she behaved in a passive-aggressive and disrespectful way towards myself and others. This poor behavior created unnecessary tension, disrupted my time there and felt unfair.Sparring sessions lacked proper supervision, which I found extremely unsafe. In one session, I was involved in a hard-hitting exchange with another trainee, where we could have knocked each other out. The lack of clear communication or guidance further compounded the issue, as most trainers do not speak fluent English, making it impossible to address any concerns effectively.Broken Promises and Poor ValueOn the gym’s google search services it advertises meals, “home-made Thai food” that their kitchen will provide, but none were provided. The training itself is basic, lacking detailed instruction or technical focus. For more personalized attention, I was expected to pay an additional 1,000 baht per hour, which seemed excessive given the overall cost.Even security was an issue—my room was breached twice in one day without my permission. Such incidents showed a lack of respect for guests’ privacy and safety.Khongsittha website features Rae Lil Black, a well-known adult film star to help market their services. While she has shown interest in Muay Thai, this choice is highly questionable. Highlighting a figure known primarily for her adult film work, feels inappropriate and re-enforces the fact they are a “fun gym”, diminishing the gym’s credibility. It feels gimmicky—leveraging Muay Thai as a novelty for profit rather than respecting its rich history and cultural significance. Disrespect and ExploitationOwner accused me of “trashing” the gym based on hearsay, I was then removed from the community WhatsApp group without explanation, preventing me from saying goodbye to fellow trainees I had trained alongside. This abrupt disconnection felt disrespectful and uncaring. Finally, the issue of my refund highlighted poor business practices. Despite agreeing to refund me 135,500 baht, I only received 127,345.45 baht due to deductions for fees that were never disclosed upfront. Regardless of the cause, it reflects poorly on the gym’s operations. I had to file complaints with multiple agencies in Thailand to address this, wasting time and energy over an issue that should have been resolved quickly.ConclusionWith its clever marketing ploys, high reviews and strong SEO performance Khongsitta might attract beginners unaware of what to expect from a genuine fight gym but for anyone serious about Muay Thai—or expecting professionalism and respect—this gym is a major disappointment. I was deeply disheartened and almost regret going there, knowing now there are way better gyms out there. Everything about Khongsitta feels superficial and exploitative. I can’t recommend to come here, choose a gym that respects its members, values authenticity, and genuinely supports your development and care not only potentially as a fighter but as a person as well.

  8. Had 5 PT sessions at Khongsitta Muay Thai with Kru Cherng. The sessions were excellent. Kru Cherng ensured a good workout and gave plenty of tips to help me improve my technique. The facility itself is great with all the training equipment need. I didnt do the classes but saw then in actio and it looked like they kept the classes small so get plenty of 1on1 time with the trainers which is really good. There is also some good food places nearby.Would recommend Khongsittha to anyone looking to get some Muay Thai training in while visiting Thailand.
