  1. Next door to a smaller, modern Buddhist temple are the partial ruins of a mid-11th century Khmer temple with a lintel still visible that depicts an elephant, lion, and kirtimukha face. Definitely worth a stop.

  2. A single prang with lintels on each of the four sides. Behind it is a newly built temple with a huge Buddha. Like I said, only if you are a real history buff or temple ruin searcher.

  3. This one is really for the hardcore archaeology buffs only, as the surviving temple is in very rough shape. You can still see the U-shaped moat around the temple (a common layout in Isaan.) As for the brick temples, only one of three has survived and it has only one damaged lintel to show for itself. We could make out a bit of a kala head and an elephant. A sandstone yoni from one of the collapsed towers suggests that this was originally a Shivaite temple.
