  1. The river walk has a beautiful pier overlooking the Chao Phraya River, but not a lot of shops. On the second floor, there are several restaurants. Mr. Swai from Explorenique introduced us to the Mae Yui River Cafe and it was such a delicious treat for my birthday! As we waited for our meals, we were given roasted split beans. So much fun to take off the hulls and eat the toasted beans inside. Yum! Ordered a variety of gastronomic delights from a chef that used to work in the palace. The Thai omelet was so light and crispy. Wok flamed morning glory with chili was such a fresh vegetable dish. The Thai green chicken curry was full of different eggplant and a nice twist on a traditional meal. Full sea bass was amazing. Coupled the meal with a lime soda that you mixed at the table. Outstanding! Also bought river tickets to take us to the Asiatique market from here and went to the flower market which was beautiful. Thanks to Mr. Swai for bringing us here.

  2. It’s a little industrial to truly be a “riverwalk.” There are a few bars and restaurants, with nice views along the river, but it wasn’t great for an evening stroll.

  3. Located on Chaopraya River. Accessible by boat & by car. There are many restaurants in this low-rise riverfront building, both indoor & outdoor, and some shops selling local souvenirs & handicrafts. Great place to visit in late afternoon & early evening. If you go during the day time, you can also visit Pak Klong Vegetable & Flower Market which is just opposite.

  4. Snaking through the country, then the CITY to the ocean is the Chao Phraya river that breathes life in every way. From getting fed to feeding your self by boat or buying boats on a boat is the commerce and survival for many Thai people. Stay close to it – cross it – smile. This river was Bangkok before reviews like this were possible.

  5. Pleasant shopping arcade next to flower market with some restaurants and cafes, few souvenir stalls and some pharmacy. Main draw here is a very nice view over riverside opposite with wat arun in the background.

  6. Walking along the Chao Phrao river in Bangkok is rarely possible, but here it is, be it for a short distance. Protected from the sun because of the arcades you can enjoy the view across the river. At the far end there are a few terraces, Hence there are some boutique-like shops where I saw some unique (lady) bags. Pharmacy, a 7/11, even a Starbucks and on the second floor some restaurants. Not too expensive and nice to combine with a visit to the nearby flower market.

  7. Located near to Museum Siam, this walk runs along a covered arcade on the water front that includes Chao Phraya Express Boat pier, making it most convenient for access to and from the area. There are a number of restaurants, souvenir businesses, a Starbucks and the pier itself has direct access through the building to adjacent the Bangkok Flower Market

  8. It’s located near Chao Phraya river. You can enjoy your favorite coffee from the cafe, shopping some nice Thai style souvenirs and also have a nice authentic Thai dinner (2 floor is great) at night while watching a beautiful scenery of Wat Arun on the opposite side. You can take Chao Phraya Express Boat at the pier to BTS – Saphan Taksin station.

  9. We stopped here because we thought there was a walk along the river. On ground level there is a covered market and some restaurants. On the upper open air level there is a boulevard type area to walk along and view the river. There’s also several restaurants that looked permanently closed.Stop in if you’re on a hop on hop off river cruise.
