  1. Driving onto the Navy grounds there was a sign saying, that foreigners should check at the ticket office about admision, only to be told once there that foreigners are not allowed at all on that piece of junk ship. We are probably welcome to go and spend our money in the food and souvenir shops though..!!!

  2. Having been aboard serving naval vessels of at least five nations, yet being refused entry to this one despite being married to a Thai and being the father of two girls who share Thai and British nationality, was a bit strange. I lived in Thailand for ten years , from 2000 to 2010, and thought I had seen all the quirks the country has to offer. However, despite speaking passable Thai to the guy on the gate, as a foreigner I was denied entry. What on earth are they hiding?

  3. Foreign people are NOT allowed to go on the ship but i gave my camera to my thai wife and thats allowed….go figure…

  4. Unfortunately, you have to show your Thai ID card in order to be able to get onto the ship. However, if you happen to have one or you somehow managed to get past the security, it is a must see in Thailand. The interior is amazing, and if you are lucky, you might even see a helicopter land on the ship.

  5. You can see it from a distance and that is where it will most likely stay. An aircraft carrier without aircraft that sails maybe twice a year if that.

  6. this place was amazing for kids that can see on Navy ship. it was hot by the weather but it was worth to see and visit

  7. First of all, how often can you see an active aircraft carrier? My Family and I were in the area and we had some time to kill.If you’re not a Thai national, there’s nothing much see other than the exterior of a small active aircraft carrier and a gift shop.I am however one of the lucky few to actually go inside the aircraft carrier. It reminds me a lot fo the Midway in San Diego minus the aircraft. It’s awesome because it is an active aircraft carrier and you’re not walking into a museum. So some sections are blocked off, but you can walk on the flat top. Notice that there is no launch system and a curved runway.I’ve also know that this ship is used for humanitarian mission and for special ceremonies. It’s pretty warm there so you’ll probably won’t want to stay long on top. If you do, where cover. If you have the chance to go inside. Go. I don’t recommend to see if you’re not a Thai national.

  8. If you are a foreigner, the soldiers don’t let you aboard to the ship. It’s so sad and not easy to understand. We are just tourists not spy! Feel so sad, we lost time to come here.

  9. it looks awesome, but access only for Thai people. Dissapointing, but understandable. Great beaches nearby open for all

  10. Visit was not allowed for non-Thai nationals. I was only granted an outside view laterally and from the stern. Ski-jump vew at the bow was blocked unfortunately.
