  1. Beach is also called ‘Charlie Beach’.We visited Koh Mook in low season for a quiet getaway. Advised to go to Farang/Charlie beach for the sunset. Took 30-45 mins on foot from Koh Mook town. But you can get one of those moped with sidecar things as a taxi for about 50-100 baht each way.The beach and surrounding area was deserted and resembled something from a post-apocalyptic movie. To be honest I found it really interesting; there’s a deserted resort as you get to the beach that used to be Charlie Resort (hence the name of the beach) that was apparently forced to close as it was found to be built on a national park. It looks like they got half way through demolishing it and gave up. Feels like it could be in Chernobyl or something, it’s all overgrown and collapsing. In terms of the beach itself, it has nice white sand and soft waves but water was not particularly clear and litter had built up on the beach, probably from the tide. Judging by other reviews, it must get cleaned up prior to high season. There were no vendors, no open bars or restaurant, no sun loungers when we went. As mentioned, no one else around. In you find the ‘deserted resort’ aspect interesting then check it out but if you’re actually going for the beach and it’s low season, I wouldn’t bother at all.

  2. Great place to spend a day and watch the sunset in the evening. 2 nice bars on one side of the cliffs with free beds.Best beach in KM and a must-do.

  3. Nice spot to enjoy sunset on Koh Mook! Drink a martini espresso at mong bar, take a dive in the cold water and enjoy life!

  4. This is a white sand beach with crystal clear water, just like a pool.It is empty!! Perfect to spend the whole day.More people will come around 4pm just to relax and watch the stunning sunset. The beach has two restaurants and other smaller places with options for snacks.Make sure you take a mask to see many fish. You can rent kayaks or go on a long-tail boat ride around the island.

  5. Nice, long sandy beach with small rocks. It is ok for snorkeling. Kayak trip and long tail boat trip are available from here to Ko Kradan and Emerald cave. The beach is good for sunbathing and swimming as well. The sunset looks nice here.

  6. Charlie beach is a scooter ride away! We rented a scooter half-day and regretted that we didn’t come here earlier. We should have come here straight after breakfast and spent the WHOLE day here. Such a lovely place and felt to us like a hidden Gem having spent most of our time on the other beaches on this island. There are sunbeds for rent, good snorkeling on the left side of the beach where there are plenty of huge round rocks. Some beach snacks on the beach, and two restaurants tucked away in the side of the mountain on the left side of the beach. (the one we went to had great tasting food & drinks and cheap prices and was in general just a really chilled out place to hang out). Worth a visit!

  7. Most ugly surrounding ever with dozens of collapsed bungalows .no decent snorkeling just sand and slimy rocks. Touristy (umbrellas ,thai massage bars…)I left disappointed after 20minutes

  8. Very quiet without international tourism. The safest beach to have a swim. Only one restaurant bar open being Ko Yao which is elevated at the end of the beach giving excellent photo opportunities.Charlies beach resort is currently being demolished. From what I have read/ been told, Charlie never had appropriate paperwork and wasn’t prepared to pay the local cortuption fees, so he walked away.Local moto taxis are 50 baht per person per trip. Certainly worth a visit, at least for a swim.

  9. Absolutely top geographical location ruined it’s about time they got their act together and cleaned the place up

  10. Looking out from the beach you see a stunning location, the scenery is awesome. The beach itself is a dump, really. Trash trash trash, somewhat like the whole island. It could be a beautiful island, but it resembles more a floating dumpster if you ask me.A lot of.olaces ate left, run down not open anymore; because of the pandemic? Maybe.I do hope they do something about it.
