  1. Good place for spending time with the kids and learning about Khon-kaen and E-Sarn’s history. It’s right at the Khan-na-kon lake.

  2. This little museum tells you briefly about Khon Kaen. The display is quite good. The staffs and her kids were very nice and helpful and informative. We also called the kid “A little guide”. You have to pay very small museum fee which absolutely worth your money and time. From there, we gathered some information about “Sim” – how they called temple in northeastern dialect. Then, we drove to see Sim which is really amazing. Highly recommended!

  3. We had the place completely to ourselves. But granted it is low season and tourists are very rare right now. But I really liked it. I learned quite a bit!

  4. Good preserved the history of province as well as well recognise important people who contribute to the province from history until current. Very good idea to utilise the area under stair of stadium rather than let it become place for homeless or other illegal activities place. The lady who work over there seem very friendly and seem very proud of her province…. unluckily she couldn’t explain much in english for my husband who interested in history. Luckily we went to Khon Kaen Museum the day before, so we can understand the link of the whole story. Overall, it not that bad to visit with kids. The entry could be hard to find like what happen to us as we not local, although we use Garmin but have to keep on drive around for a while until we need to pay attention to look for the entry where it locate under stadium stair.

  5. Unassuming on the exterior, but once inside were were delighted with the history of the region. We had the museum mostly for ourselves to enjoy.

  6. If you have time its ok to make a visit to KK City Museum, located behind the Fierstation/Amfiplace. Not a big museum, but give a breef of the past time in KK and Isan Province. 90THBpp was okMichael🇩🇰

  7. For history buffs. Nice compilation of the city’s history. Easy to miss. I will come back. Kop khun.

  8. Hong Mun Mang Mueang (The Khon Kaen City Museum), holds a number of curious displays. Based on my positive experience, chances are that you too, will find that a visit here is great way to learn more about the interesting provincial history of the Isan region. It sits adjacent to the famous Bueng Kaen Nakhon Public Park, thus location is also highly convenient. So, if you are into your museums like me (?), then definitely worth investing some of your time ‘while in town’, in exploring (also see my YouTube) and educating yourself here.
