Large collection of orchids. Owner is a sympathetic guy explaining what you want to know, taking his time. Also the shop is inviting to visit
This farm is quite small and unless you are interested in studying each plant in detail you wont need to spend long there. Also bear in mind the seasons as for two thirds of the year the orchids are not in flower. The best time to visit is February. There is a small shop where some items are available for sale.
The drive out is only 3.5km from central Udon, so that was a positive, however when we arrived no one was around, there was no directions as to what to do or go and it wasnt until 15min later, someone turned up. There were some orchids in blossom, but not alot. The highlight was the dancing tee plants, a little music and they actual move around.
Not a lot to see here but then hey, that pretty much sums up all of Udon Thani. That being said, it is a pleasant diversion and should not take up more than about 30 mins of your time. The highlights are the scented orchid and the dancing tea plants whose leaves move to music (ever so slightly). A very quiet and serene setting. Not many orchids were in bloom when we visited. Don’t forget to pick up some Orchid Perfume and some Tea at the visitor’s kiosk. You may want to bring your own music in case there is no one around to get the plants dancing.
This place is managed by the second generation of the founder. The guy was very friendly. They got a small shop offering fragrances and souvenirs. Water in the hot weather too. If you are not a big fan of plantation do not go there as you will be disappointed.
I saw it with my own eyes, they played music and this plant started moving.I never had seen flowers can move.They have perfum made from orchids and they say it is not an usual thing either, if you want you can buy it.
Not a lot to see here but then there is not a lot to see in Udon Thani. That being said, it is a pleasant diversion requiring no more than 30 mins of your time. Scented Orchid and Dancing Tea Leaves Tea plants are the highlights. Very quiet and serene setting. Not many orchids in bloom when we were here but still very pleasant walk through.
This small but delighful Orchid Farm specializes in orchids of every variety, laid out attractively in rows and groups. Some have an amazing fragrance, whilst others are devoid entirely, yet are still spectacular. They have a small shop which sells orchid products including perfumes , oils and fragrancies. Well worth a visit.
Lots of udon sunshine farm to visit. Nothing more here to do except admire a various kinds of udon sunshine and shopping some souvenir and fragrance also. I am not sure that they have others activity show here but if you love a good smell of thai fragrance named udon sunshine, this place reccommended.
When in Udon, I must make a visit to this place. Rare and trademark Orchid, but its not a big place as this privately owned. Owner very friendly.
