  1. As we walked from Tha Phae gate we saw this temple . It is a small temple but very attractive. There was hardly any crowd here . So we had a good time seeing the complex and taking photos. The golden statue of the Buddha is very beautiful.

  2. Attractive viharn with elaborate gold filigree gable ends with naga decorated barge-boards and unusually, in the absence of the usual naga guardians on the steps, two fine Burmese singha lions. Good two-level Lanna style roof with flying chofha. Inside the red and gold porch the roof is decorated with attractive Lanna flower motifs (chrysanthemums). Inside the hall much red and gold lacquer and scenes from the Jataka and Hindu mythology. The chedi is of Burmese indented style with square base in the usual white stucco and gold bell dome with finial topped with elaborate hti or Burmese sacred umbrella. The ubosot which as usual was locked is elaborately decorated with two naga guardians. There is a small ho rakang housing the temple bell and sala with Buddha image.

  3. This temple can be an option for you to visit if you’re doing temple visiting around chiang mai or you have ample of time to kill. The temple itself is a very small nice decent temple. You don’t have to spend much time there, max 1/2 hour is good. And to visit this temple you don’t have to pay an entrance fee.My take:-Visit if you have ample of time.

  4. This temple is close to the east gate. It is a small temple built in lanna style. If you want to look around a temple that is not filled up with tourists, this is the one.

  5. Visit in the morning for a quiet & peaceful experience. This Wat has a lot of history, I googled for info before I visited.

  6. Another good visit to a buddhist temple and getting to know more about the buddhist culture. This temple is very beautifully built. Was given a tour by a young thai local.

  7. On the walking street of Rachadmnoen you find many temples, this is one of them.It has a small garden you can use to relax and take a break from the walk

  8. This was the last stop on my self-made Google Maps tour of the inner city in Chiang Mai.I turned up just in time to see the monks sitting in-front of the Buddha and chanting. Very peaceful.

  9. …but when compared to some of Chiang Kai’s other temples and complexes, it may seem run-of-the-mill. It’s not; it’s beautiful! The main building and stupa both shine and impress like so many others nearby.
