Rachabut Night Market is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Coner of Ratchabut Rd. and Khuean Thani Rd. , Thailand
Drove to this supposed market but it was terrible nothing of note just a few people sitting by the river. Not worth the effort. Stay home and wash your clothes it is more fun
The stalls have been relocated. Food were good and you get to see plenty of young locals enjoying dinner there. Nice place to have dinner.
I ate here a few times while staying in Ubon. There isn’t as much street food as in some cities, and it was a hike from where I was staying, but the food selection was good, as local Thai food goes. As usual, Thai food won’t offer a lot for vegetarian purists. There was a new year’s festival nearby, but I liked the food at the night market much more.
there are many many kind of foods for you to choose for dinner. they starts around 5pm to 10pm to sell foods and drinks here. this place is close to tung sri mueng park. this is really good place to do many kind of activities!
Make sure you try some of the different types of food on offer at the market , I used to just walk by and not bother trying but during my previous visit and this one I tried chicken and pork kebabs, rice fish cake, and a very refreshing drink made from flowers ( sorry I’ve forgotten the name of it but there are a few stalls that sell it ) all the food is cooked to order and very inexpensive, there are also lots of choices for clothes, shoes, tshirts, trinkets etc well worth a look around
Only food stalls here now. Ate dinner here 3 nights (close to hotels)—inexpensive and delicious! The Vietnamese egg crepes, fried and rice paper-wrapped spring rolls, and other dishes were excellent, and it was easy and fun to sit at the small tables and benches and eat among the local families. The sauces alone will bring you back. It’s a lovely city park to visit in the daytime too.
We went there several times during our holidays. There were lot of different items and enough seats for everybody! Good ambiance and good food. Perfect for dinner!
We actually call it ‘ Talad Toe Rung’ in Thai. It is a local night market which set for local people. It has been in this location for more than 10 years. This one is not a ‘set up’ night market for foreigners just like any other cities. The good things are the price is super cheap as a local price, the foods are the foods that everyone eats so the taste are authentic taste for locals. Con is sometime it is difficult for foreigners to order but try pointing it or use your mobile app to translate or ask people around there to help you. You can order, tell the seller where your table is and wait there, finish your eat and pay later but for your convenience, I suggest to pay once they come to serve you. The price is between 30-80 THB pet dishes. I would recommend to try Spring rolls ( fried, not fried), Nam-Nuang, Kuay Jab ( Ubon’s noodle) , Pak Mor Yuan ( fried egg with filling inside), Pak Mor Thai ( fresh steamed rice pastry with filling inside) etc.
I ate here twice during my stay in Ubon. The food is beautiful and plenty to pick from. The locals are friendly and the atmosphere is good.
I think this refers to Thung Sri Muang Night Market ตลาดโต้รุ่ง ทุ่งศรีเมือง. I could not find a “Rachabut Night Market” per se.
