  1. In our holiday in February we booked a speedboat early in the morning so we could enjoy the full day of our holiday. We were supposed to leave at 8.15 at the pier in Railay. We were a half hour before departure at the pier as mentioned in the booking. At 8.45 someone told us the boat is coming at 10.15 so we had to wait. Finally at 10.40 we left. We arrived at 11.40 at Koh Lanta where we had to get off the boat. Ok, we thought just a transfer. But no we had to wait again until 14.40 to leave to Koh lipe. There where to many people on the boat, some people had to sit on the deck or had to stand in the corridor. We arrived at 18.30 at Koh lipe and we lost the whole day.The whole day we where wondering what the problem was but nobody said anything to provide us with some explanation. We Will never book again with your company and never recommend to anybody!

  2. Told the final check in was 75 min before departure, no one turned up until 45 min before. Left to bake in 40 degree heat for all of it as we arrived 85 mins before. Set off before tying down luggage, nearly lost my suitcase. The ride was too rough to be able to stand to look at anything other than the other passengers as we were all facing each other. No chance of getting a photo or anything without losing whatever device you have.Altogether 0/5, took longer to get to Phuket than a taxi and left me feeling like I had just come out of a boxing match. Never again!

  3. This was the worst mode of transport I have ever taken in my life.Honestly is this company ‘s ability to operate on the sea frightening. They have absolutely no regard for the passengers’ lives. Firstly, the squeezed way too many people onto the speedboat that some girls were sitting on bags in the centre of the boat. The boat was meant to take 2.30 hours, and it ended up taking almost 5 hours. The speed of the driver was outrageous. Everyone was being bounced off their seats. Even with the speed, there is absolutely no way the journey could be done in 2.30 hours. We were fine but there were numerous people getting sick with the bumpiness of the journey so if you aren’t good with the sea do not travel with this company it tested even us and we are always fine. There were also extremely concerning smells of gas from the boat, which we then realised was leaking into the sea, and the boat then ran out of gas, so we were stuck until another boat came along. When this other boat came along (was going to Phuket), they then started transferring passengers across the two boats in the middle of the ocean. It was absolute carnage and no regard or concerns from staff how dangerous this all was. I hate to think of the day when someone takes a wrong step because it seems like a disaster waiting to happen. The driver also kept switching with another guy on the boat, and at one stage, when I looked, the driver was on the phone, and a guy standing next to him was steering the boat. Genuinely would never ever get on a ferry with this company again even if they were the only company available I would rather Skip the destination than to put myself through this torture again.

  4. This was the worst travel booking company I’ve ever booked with. They didn’t tell us that the boat we are getting isn’t actually a ferry, didn’t let us know that we would be waiting hours in Phi Phi for our transfer etc, etc, just don’t use them!

  5. Awful!!! They changed our trip drastically and didn’t bother telling us at any point and the worst part is it ended us costing an additional 440 bhat because they took us on a different route!! We had paid for a more expensive route than what we got. It’s not that they won’t give us a refund they won’t even bother writting us back. Do not use this company!

  6. Something fishy with their website. I bought a couple of ferry tickets and it directed me to pay through PayPal. Ok, fair enough. Then I get a statement from some ‘Seaport Development Co’. saying my product has been shipped to my home address in Canada. I never recieved any tickets in my email like I should have. And , of course, they do not respond to emails. I just put in a claim with PayPal. See where it goes. Be aware!

  7. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I HATE leaving bad reviews, in fact, this might be my first. We took Sun Smile ferry and the boat was great, on time and in good condition. The ferry time we needed the following day was with Tiger Line so we went with it. The price was more than Sun Smile so we thought maybe the boat would be even nicer, not that it needed to be. The Tiger Line boat was small and poorly maintained, which isn’t a huge deal but they loaded so many people and suitcases it was so jammed packed and the weight of suitcases was distributed to mostly one side so we were leaning very noticeably to one side before even taking off. After leaving our driver finally noticed and tried to redistribute people last weight but it didn’t help much. Being squished in the middle of a leaning boat for 2 hours was uncomfortable and given the rest of the circumstances scary. I’ve been on boats in various states of repair my entire life and boats don’t scare me. This one did. In addition, our boat was supposed to arrive at PhiPhi at noon but it did not and we missed our hotel transfer and had to wait 4 hours until the next. We had to transfer boats, which we were told we would not and that was an hour after we were supposed to arrive at our destination. In total we were 2 hours late on a transfer that was supposed to be 1.5 hours in total, not 3.5. And finally, I watched our crew member smoke and put out his marijuana cigarette. I don’t believe he wasn’t the captain, so hopefully he didn’t imbibe but still not very comforting. Avoid if you’re able.

  8. Tiger ferry is a third party company and we learned at the ferry office that the customs closed at 830 even though our ferry left at 10 so we missed our ferry even though we arrived a little more than an hour before departure. The people at the ferry office were extremely helpful and kind. We are still waiting for a response from Tiger to get us rerouted. Not holding my breathe and we are in the hook for an extra night accommodations. There was no mention of arriving at 830 for customs. We read and re read all the info over and over to learn if this was our error or theirs. It’s theirs . We booked our ferry through DirectFerries.com.

  9. We used Tigerline to go from Koh Lipe to Phuket (and a different provider for the outgoing). The boats are all the same for all providers but the overall experience with the other provider was better. When changing boats they had not labelled which island our bags were going to, they also didn’t tell us we needed to move them ourselves so quiet a few of us didn’t until we were about to go and noticed our bags still in the pier. One of our party needed additional help getting in and out and the staff were not patient, when we asked for extra steps (so that instead of one huge step it was three smaller) they said no. The other company arrived on time (5hours) but I understand this is not at the behest of the driver due to conditions etc. however it would be good if they told us at each drop off the expected time and what island we were at instead of expecting we were on time and finding out we had another hour to go.

  10. Not the best but still okay. We did two trips on Sirilanta Speed Boat and both times the boat was on time and brought us to our next destination. The journey time depends on the stops. On the second tour there were a few stops, but it was also mentioned in the timetable. Boats are noisy and not too comfortable, but again still okay. On the second journey the boat was crowded, but everyone had a place to sit.

  11. They loaded too many people onto the boat, we broke down in the middle of the water and had to get onto another boat. Arrived at Koh Yao Noi 2 hours late. Avoid at all costs, the staff were very rude and inconsiderate

  12. Absolutely hopeless. Second time with them. More than an hour late to leave and the engine packed in both times. Avoid at all costs

  13. Truly disastrous Pls do not book with this company… Delays, on top boat broke on us middle of the sea! We try to find some other way to head back to phuket as we fearing for our safety! Read reviews before booking!

  14. Shocking from start to finish, departure was 30 mins late, the seats were basically broken and provided zero support. After filling the boat initially they stopped a further two times to load even more people onto the boat and a dozen or so ended up standing. Embarrassing don’t use this service.

  15. We had booked and paid for a speedboat from Langkawi to Koh Life but got a normal boat. The money was never returned and our complaint was ignored. Travel time + 60 min 60€ paid extra I didn’t receive. Avoid this agency!

  16. Dreadful! We booked in the UK with direct ferries, who are their agent! Completely disorganised, we were told the ferry from Koh Lanta to Phuket would depart at 12:15, in fact it actually left at 13:40 by the time they had ‘faffed’! On the positive side, they had sufficient life jackets for everyone and felt fairly safe! If you’re catching a connecting flight, give yourself at least 4 or 5 hours ‘safety net’ on top of your normal travel plans if you are travelling with this company! Couple of tips: 1 Sit halfway down the boat (it’s a speedboat, not a ferry as advertised), it’s much less bumpy there! 2. Take your headphones, even better if they are noise cancelling, as the sound of the engines is loud if your near the back. 3. Be prepared for absolute organised chaos!!! Enjoy!

  17. We booked a return ferry from Phuket to Koh Lanta via Direct Ferries, well in advance of our trip. Instead of the Tigerline ferry we booked, we were taken by a Siri Lanta speedboat on both occasions. When checking in at the Tigerline desk, we were told the ferries weren’t available.Others have already reviewed the speedboat experience. If it’s a calmer, direct crossing with space for luggage that you’re after, don’t book a Tigerline Ferry as they don’t appear to exist. Direct Ferries shouldn’t be taking bookings for this service.

  18. Siri Lanta speed boat Life threatening experience .Avoid this Company .A simple island hopping from Kho Lipe to Kho Kradan turned into a TRUE Life threatening nightmare .We bought our thicket from a tourist agency in Walking street by Kho Lipe Patthaia beach .The travel agent reassured us that the Siri Lanta Speed boat service was as good as Bundaya company , so we bought the slightly cheaper tickets. The morning of the trip , we were called by numbers by the captain ‘s assistant and welcomed , for different destinations to the small speeding boat ( 2 engines, instead of the 4 engines of Bundaya). We sat into the later sits of the boat as the central benches were just 3 , 2 people per each bench .We departed …The speeding boat started very fast on an already quite rough sea …..Faster and faster …the sea was getting rougher and rougher …we started to jump off our sits at every wave ..higher and higher ..heavier & Heavier ..I checked my parter watch ..it was just 14 minutes into the 2hrs trip …I said to my partner “ I cannot do it ..I need to get out …” We were off to open SEA ..no Land to be seen as the boat didn’t stop at Kho Bulone as the previous boat had done. The journey went from bad to worse ..like a shi-fy move ….people started panic, water was spraying heavily into the boat and on us,1 girl fainted, her partner was shouting & begging for help, a man lifted the girl and managed to lie her down with the legs up, people were all helping,we asked to slow down as she was not coming back , people were throwing up on buckets & outside the boat . a child was throwing up,as her mum was trying to keep her sited , not fling off the boat with the bumps .The captain stopped and with a screwdriver walked to the engine, he fiddled either it and departed again .We arrived by miracle to Trang ‘s port 4 hrs later.Shocking experience, the captain also looked like he had been drinking , his eyes were red and blurry. At the end we were all safe and friends, in Trang we boarded soo many more people , overbooked for sure, we left and prayed for safe arrival to Kho Kradan.I believe that this company should be report to the Thai sea safety department as could turn into a real catastrophic and tragic situation. Please Avoid this company .???????????????????????????????????

  19. ★☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointing Experience – Delays & False PromisesI had a terrible experience with [Boat Company Name] on my journey from Koh Lanta to Phuket. We booked a direct speed boat departing at 1:00 PM, with an advertised arrival time of 2:30 PM. Instead, the boat was delayed and made two additional stops, causing a two-hour delay—we didn’t arrive until 4:30 PM.To make matters worse, we had also paid for a private taxi transfer in Phuket, but it turned out to be a shared ride, which was not what we booked or paid for. This entire situation put us at serious risk of missing our flight, and the company’s lack of accountability was extremely frustrating. If you’re on a tight schedule, do not trust this company. They are unreliable, and their services do not match what they advertise. Avoid at all costs!

  20. Don’t do it to yourself. That was my worst experience in Thailand. The „speedboat” was late one hour for the 45-minute trip, which destroyed my whole plan for the day and the stuff was repeatedly saying the boat is „just coming”.
