a beautiful sandy beach with clear blue water and safety measures in place to protect bathers from jet skis etc the only downside i could see was it gets so crowded at times but always a fantastic place to spend the day

Over crowded with tourist at this beautiful beach. U can still relax at this beach, enjoy the white, clean and soft sand. Many restaurants and shops at this beach. It is also another ferry pier at Ko Lan to/from Pattaya.
White and soft sand, very clear water, but a bit crowded. The local food along the beach is not much expensive. It’s an acceptable price.
This beach has lovely silver sand but is very crowded perhaps also because it’s closest to the Tawaen Pier and brings in the boat loads. Lots of facilities for water sport, food and shopping. If crowds don’t bother you then this is a good place to hang out.
Largest beach in Koh Larn, Ta Waen beach is also the most crowdy and noisy. Too much boats and jet-skis that spoil the landscape.

We drove from Bangkok at 6:30 am to the Bali Hai Pier at 8:30 am. We paid 30 Baht for the ferry from the Pier to Tawaen Beach Pier. The Tawaen beach is nice and clean. There is a 7-11 Store near the pier. We paid 10 Baht to use the restrooms and changed the clothes. There are many shops and restaurants near the beach. Later we paid 40 Baht for a shared taxi truck to Samae Beach. We prefer Samar Beach to Tawaen Beach.
