Tien Beach is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 20150, Thailand
Have been to Ko Larn several times but usually other beaches. This was my first time to Tien Beach. It’s nice and clean, and peaceful and quiet, great for relaxing and just chillin. If you are looking for excitement you should go elsewhere.
Went through alot of reviews of beaches in Pattaya, and decided to visit Samae beach and Tien beach on Ko Larn. Concluded that Tien beach is the best for my preference, white sand, clear waters, not too many chinese tourist groups swarming like on one side of Samae beach. Pattaya sea tours will leave by 3-4pm, so the beach gets quieter. The last 2 operators of beach chairs at the end of Tien beach charges 100 baht a sun chair per day, whereas the operators at the beginning of the beach charge 50 baht per sun chair a day. good spot for sunset about 4-5pm. Last song thew to pier at 530-540pm to catch the 6pm ferry. Settled at Nong Restaurant, the 2nd last beach sun chair operator cafe, 100 baht for large Chang beer, 100 baht for chicken pad thai. Reasonable for a day’s expenditure. Servers are friendly and they seem to charge Asians slightly less than the price listed on menu for drinks…not sure if the westerners get the same “discount”, which was unspoken, just reflected in the change received. Toilets are 10 b and shower is 50 b, be ware not to even step into the toilet area even if you are just searching for a tap, as the woman in charge of the toilet will accuse you of using it even when you haven’t been dishonest, and want to just ask for a tap to use. Very rude and unnecessary treatment. Pity it was a down side to an otherwise excellent experience.
This is the best beach on Koh Tao by FAR!!!! Lovely people! Vendors don’t bother you, but their products are adorable! Big, clear, white sands beach surrounded by beautiful mountains! No pollution!!
Great place to swim, tidy, clean, complete infrastructure as needed on the beach, great and clean water!Definetly recommended if you like russians!
Clean water after kovic 19 and not many people in the beach and good weather and have long way of beach to swimming
10 minutes from the pier. One hotel available. Only saw one restaurant. Clean soft sand, beach chairs are 75B.
I would like to suggest you guys come to Tien Beach since early morning. The ferry fare is less than 1 USD per round. Then when your arrive Koh Larn you can tell the driver that you would like to go to Tien Beach the fare is around 40-50 THB. I hope this review can help you guys.
Nice and Beautiful Beach. But..Be aware of the sneaky older massage ladies..They simply want too scam you.Friendly in the beggining, until they want you to pay WAY more than you agreed on in the first place..I also think that it was a bit too much jetskies, and noice from motorboats full of chinese people.
Arrived by speed boat to the island from Pattaya. Then Baht Bus to Tien Beach. Spent 5 hours there, crystal clear blue water. Great beach, beer, pedicure and people.
The ocean can have 5 stars, but the rest is terrible. The beach is ruined with big yellow floating barriers in the water, and noisy Jetskis. Not possible to shower after going in the ocean. Trash in every corner, lots of stray dogs covered in fleas, which is a general problem around the island, and the place is crawling with Chinese people, but thats another story. I dont have any desire to come back here ever.
