  1. don’t miss this area, very nice part of my tour, I recommend you stopping by while in the Golden Triangle area.

  2. On the banks of the river even our guide did not want to be here after dark. Lot of superstition tied up with this Wat.

Nicely located on the Mekong Chieng Saen, you can see Chinese boats tied up, visit a range of interesting old walls/stupas/wats similar to Chieng Mai but without the crowds, wander down the wide streets and just “chill out”. The famous Golden Triangle is a short car trip up the road where you can view China, Laos and Myanmar at the river junction .

  4. Like many of the other temples, this one is worth stopping in and seeing…especially if you have a guide who can tell you the history and the storied.
