  1. It’s a bit out of town and is worth a visit if you’re into traditional, Lanna fabrics. The house belong to one of the nobles that govern Nan hundreds of years ago. You can observe how our nobleman lived, compared to his counterparts in Europe. The house has been turned into a museum with weaving demonstrations. Suggested donation is 20 baht per person.

  2. I found it fascinating to visit this home to discover how the nobles lived in Lanna many years ago. Our host was just wonderful. She enthusiastically showed us around the place, played music and demonstrated cotton spinning.

  3. This is a beautiful little tranquil spot which is 192 years old. The replica rooms are carefully attentive and the traditional feel is strong. There’s a few people downstairs demonstrating traditional northern Thai activities. With a visiting of in Nan

  4. The grand daughter of the owner was there to show us around. Under the house there was weaving and sewing and the rooms have now become a museum with beautiful costumes on display. A kitchen showing old equipment and a room showing furniture from that period. Worht a visit

  5. We took the family to see this house, which has plenty of Thai objects inside which were fun to view, from weapons to jewellery. It’s very well maintained, and the staff were friendly (my partner speaks Thai), and one member of staff spoke English and asked if we had questions. There were a lot of Thai visitors as well. The garden is pretty and the house is bigger than it looks from the outside. At only a 20baht donation, it’s a bargain and worth visiting if you are already in the area. It will probably take about an hour to walk around and look at everything.

  6. This place is an old northen-style house tuned museum. The former master of the house was an old thai royal called (Chao Fong Kham). The entry fee was only 20 baht per person. The ground floor: On the ground floor under the house, which was bulit on stilit, they demonstrate the production of traditional Lanna textile. They also sing a local song for you.In the house: You can see old rooms such as living room, guests room, and kitchen. Lots of beautiful silver wares were on diaplay. The rooms show where the old master would sleep, eat, or welcome his guest. There were many facinating piece of Lanna culture for you to see, so definitely bring a camera. There was not much else going on other than this but the entry fee was dirt cheap so I would rate it a five stars.Ps. The garden has a unique bell shaped flowers. I wonder what it’s called!

  7. The about 100 year old authentic Lanna style 2 storey teak house in a beautiful garden was once a residence of Chao Fongkham, a descendant of the former lord of Nan. It is now occupied by her descendants and becomes a well-preserved and worth visiting museum and learning space (entrance fee = 30 baht ; this place is less than 10 minutes driving from the city). Staffs were very nice. During our sightseeing inside the house, we dimly heard some traditional Lanna songs (made us really in the mood). Also, there was a Lanna weaving demonstration on the ground under the house. Recommend !

  8. Though not in the city center, this nice house should not be missed, with on top fasciae, ating explanations about weaving

  9. I had a look around here not knowing much about the Lanna style house or history. It’s a nice old house to look around and a lady down the bottom will show some weaving and music but not talking English was hard for me to understand.

  10. I enjoyed this place very much, more than I expected to. It was made all the more enjoyable by the lady who showed me around. Although she had very little English, we got by and managed to giggle all the way around, like 2 school girls. Great sense of humour. Great old house, well set up so you could see how it was used in the past. Well worth a visit. Highly recommend it.
