Dibuk Road is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Dibuk Road, 83000, Thailand
Dibuk Road used to be filled with the residence of wealthy Chinese people in the yesteryears. Dibuk means “tin” in Thai language and it refers to the source of wealth of these residents. Currently this road hosts art and textile shops, a French Eatery called Dibuk, the famous On On Hotel, which was featured in the Hollywood film The Beach, and lovely little coffee shops. I loved a flower shop located on this road. You can also see a temple, a mall and an open air market here. The atmosphere of the road is full if history and charm. You can feel that there is a strong Portuguese influence on the architecture.
We were in a tour, and we passed by this place, its an old colonial place of Portugal, all the houses have portugueese design, we liked it.
This street has some interesting architecture from historical Phuket. If you are exploring the area it is worth having a walk down this street.Lots of colour. It’s a fairly busy road, so the feeling of modernity prevails.
Lovely street to look at the architecture and colourful buildings. Around 78 Dibuk Street towards the end near Satun Road there is a traditional Thai ice desserts/drinks shop. If you love these make sure you stop and have a drink to cool down. Lovely people and I think they are not open later in the day.
