Ao Tubtim is very nice, quiet beach, you can find a shop with the products, which are hand made from the mussels there. A good restaurant is also there. When you walk along a beach, you see special stones situated to fabulous forms. It is very interesting.
There is a price to be paid for progress and AO Tubtim is paying the price. This used to be a quite, serene beautiful beach. Now a pier is under construction, a real eyesore on this small beach. The pier will be used for bringing material and people to build a fresh water reserve. I know for sure I don’t want to be on this beach when boats with building material is docking. A real pity for this beach, hopefully a good thing for the island as such.
The water is still clear… there are still fish near the rocks… but you can’t get away from the construction in the middle of the beach…
Best beach on Ko samet while there is a beach even at high tide. The other beaches get the water up into the resorts.
We, 2 adults and 2 kids (14 and 11), recently stayed for 4 nights at the Tubtim Resort on Tubtim beach (Ao Tubtim) on Koh Samet. We stayed in two bungalows in the N-zone and on the beach. The bungalows were clean, comfortable and pleasant with great views. The beach has a relaxed atmosphere and for those looking for more resort like options, the next beach over (a short walk) offers plenty of opportunities.The restaurant at Ao Tubtim has excellent food, the breakfast at the resort is great and staff is very friendly. Even though some only speak limited English, there is always someone at hand who does speak English. Our kids (and we) loved the peaceful nature of the beach.We arrived by ferry and taxi and left by speedboat. The latter was also a big hit with the kids. All in all we had a great time and the resort and beach are highly recommended.
We have been staying at Tubtim for years now and it is always a treat. Quiet, comfortable and beach to play on. Most staff are friendly, food is fine but there are other places to go to.
A very nice beach, quite popular with the resort behind. Nice sand, clean water and facilities for eating and drinking. Not a bad way to spend your day!!
When I was here the last time, the were an ugly pier being built. Happy to see that the pier is gone and that the beach is restored to its former glory. Great beach with a couple of bars and restaurants.P and not to forget Tubtim resort.
Tub tim one of the best resorts on the island staff excellent , I have been many time over the past 11years , great for relaxation clean water great beach .
Clean and unspoilt beach with warm clear sea which is safe for swimming or paddling. For activities you need to walk to the neighbouring beaches. A few beachside bars and restaurants as well as beach venders with barbeque chicken, salads and fruut.
