This beach tends to be less crowded than Vongduan beach but the water is not as blue. There is a pier dividing the beach in to two. The pier is a bit of an eyesoar. Two resorts on the beach, a couple of restaurants and a mini mart. As a beach, it is pretty much average for Ko Samet.
Great hotel on this beautiful and fairly quiet beach. Friendly staff and clean spacious rooms. The breakfast was the only slight let down. I would recommend it for a short stay.
Small quiet beach! October was very quiet and so it was not crowded or noisy. Snorkelling was good as well.

The beach is beautiful! Clean and not too many people! If you have little kids, notice that the water is deep and there are waves.
Great place to swim… But if sea goes away, it is a bit boring…But from the narrow pier You can use this time for fishing…Koh Samed’s maybe most silent beach…

Ao Cho is a really pleasant small beach. It is quiet, there are a few restaurants and low rise hotels here. There isn’t a lot to do other than enjoy the peace and quiet plus the swimming.
Have been to Samed almost every years for the last 20 years . Still never been disappointed especially after its been locked down from COVID-19 , the ocean and the beach are clean, lots of alive coral and full of fish
Dirty, old rubbish ( i.e. not white litter or rubbish washed up that day)The rangers paid to look after the island nature reserve ( tourist shearing station) have done nothing to clean the place up during a years worth of shutdown. For much of that time no one was permitted to enter or leave the island so what have they been doing?Piles of rubbish from flytipping and locals just dumping into water and bushes.And as little as 10 years ago this was a wooded beach, I mean the trees came up to the beach, ok a few resorts back at the dirt track but what has happened? it has been paved over, all the trees destroyed. 10 years of paying rangers my 200 baht foreigner fee and they have done nothing. Nothing but built a big complex for rangers.
