  1. You start with murkey waters to continue to the Mangrove where you will be able to see monkeys in the trees before ending in the ocean adn seeing Puckett far away (actually not that far ^^ )the staff is very friendlyWe had a fun morning !

  2. We were picked up from our hotel. When we arrived we were given coffee, water and a waterproof bag for our things! Headed out kayaking and really enjoyed all the beautiful sights. Stopped to see starfish and crabs while the tide was low. Then headed into the rocks and mangrove area. Gorgeous views and we were the first group to go in, so it was much more enjoyable! Plus the guide was very knowledgeable and humorous! Would definitely recommend to anyone! ** Also don’t be discouraged if you haven’t kayaked before or aren’t super fit, you will easily get the hang of it and have a great time!

  3. Take a long tail boat and head off on a most enjoyable trip. Stopped at caves and then meandered through thick mangrove forest, absolutely beautiful. Nature at it’s best. Finish the trip at the Mangrove Restaurant.

  4. What an easy but eventful and beautiful kayaking trip. Kayaking was easy for even beginners, with enough opportunity to explore for more experienced kayakers. The 3 different eco-environments were fun to explore, with the unique mangrove swamps and caves in the cliff walls the definite highlight. Our guide was informative and helped keep the group together. His calmness when monkey’s decided to join us on the kayak’s was also much appreciated!! A fun day exploring and seeing different aspects of Krabi.

  5. It has been a month since we went on the kayak tour with Mad. We still talk about it. We liked it so much that we have told our friends about the Indonesian Gypsies that lived in the caves there. We also felt like we were on a wild adventure and saw monkeys along the edge of the water whilst paddling so close by them. The mangrove section was like a tunnel of greenery and I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide or experience in a remote and fantastic part of Thailand. Worth the money for sure.

  6. Did a half day kayak tour with Fasai Krabi Tour to Ao Thalane Bay. Picked up from hotel and picked up other guests along the way and it was about half an hour from Aonang beach in a ute with the back converted to 2 benches and a roof. Drove past cliff with red streaks, small village and a section of the road with trees flowering before reaching the pier. We were loaned, not given, a waterproof bag each to put our belongings in. We then kayaked in 2-seater kayaks for approximately 2 hours from the pier along the coastline, stopped for a short while at a sand bar while the guide gave some information, and entered the tidal river from the sea thru the limestone cliffs and into the mangroves. Kayaking is easy to learn but the 2-hours rowing was tiring if just one person in the kayak. It was fun though.

  7. This lovely restaurant is right next to the dock in Tha Lane village. It’s also a rental centre for kayaks and local sight-seeing trips. We ended up eating here while we were waiting for a boat to Koh Yao Noi, and so we spent a couple of hours in the restaurant. It’s a family place with lots of children – shy and friendly – and they will talk to you or leave you alone as you wish. The views are beautiful looking out across the estuary to the cliff faces beyond; there’s a tiny patch of sand, and a new part of the balcony is built right out over the water. It’s not a fast food place, because everything is cooked from scratch, and all the ingredients are absolutely fresh. We had crab and barbecued squid and prawns fried in garlic and black pepper. Everything tasted tremendous; I think the prawns were the best I’ve eaten anywhere. The service was good, there was no rush – a perfectly relaxed place to hang out. They’re Muslim, so there’s no alcohol – which is fine.NB: I tried to set up a separate restaurant listing for this place, but I couldn’t get the Trip Advisor technology to recognize the site, so it’s here as part of the general reviews for Tha Lane.

  8. Last min booked the kayaking with no regret! The tour guide Farus was so friendly and we were chit chatting throughout the whole journey.

  9. The kayaking experience amidst the dense forests on one side and the blue waters all around was great, except for the occasional disturbance caused by local tribes at some places.
