  1. Beautiful place to visit in Udon Thani. Very peaceful. Great experience feeding the fish with baby bottle (only 20 THB).

  2. The main thing this Chinese temple has going for it is location. It is set besides a pretty, little artificial lake in the centre of Udon Thani. At sunset this area is quite pleasant and is a favorite with joggers and fitness freaks. The temple itself features prayer halls, pavilions and the obligatory banyan tree. None of it seems of any great vintage but it is perhaps worth a quick look if you have time to kill in Udon Thani.

  3. Located next to Nong Bua Lake, this colourful temple has a central altar dedicated to Cha Pu (grandfather) and Ya (grandmother) deities. A nice place to enjoy the views of the lake and some quiet time.

  4. Sanjao Phuya Temple location easy visit . the temple beside UD town shopping and dinning .temple is clean and relax.

  5. This like so many other temples in Thailand are immaculately presented. This is a famous Chinese temple because of the strong cultural influences of the Chinese in this part of Thailand. It’s right next door to the Thai – Chinese cultural centre near UD Town. It’s just on the other side of the railway tracks. Or around a 15 min walk from Central Plaza area. Some of the artwork is beautifully presented and in excellent condition.

  6. One of the most holy places in Udonthani espacially for Thai born Chineses who live in the area and near by provinces. It’s first built by an early group of Chinese merchants who moved in and started businesses many years ago.

  7. I was fortunate to visit the temple at the time of Chinese New Year, with a positive festive spirit all about this wonderful place. A little visual oasis in the city. I video logged my experience for my Coffee Chill YouTube channel and I definitely plan to go back again, soon.

  8. The Chinese here had lost their origin, comes to the temple to pray andhold activities. Other thanthese, the essence had been long lost over time.

  9. Great complexity to this Chinese temple with great complexity to it set around a beautiful lake, it has a series of gardens, temples walkways all very well maintained. It also has an educational centre that is great for the kids.If in the area check it out.

  10. Ten minutes drive from city center, this is a very interesting Chinese Shrine where you would have a chance to pay respect to 6 devines, the most people would like to visit and pay respect to may be “Poo-Yaa Shrine” which is believed those who pay respect and make a wish, that wish (only one wish) would come true. I could not remember the name of other 5 monks/devines because it is in chinese name but each would bless you prosperity, health and good luck. There is also a “9 turn Shrine” standing in the Nong Bua pond which connecting walk way that has 9 turns before reaching the pavillion. Our group were there in mid January just a week before Chinese New Year and it was almost full moon. The pavilion and the willow tree together with the moon reflects in the water looked stuning. Plus we had a chance to see the rehearsal of the Dragon parade which will be perform at Nong Prajak every year too. Nice to stroll around at night. (Close at 8 p.m.) Lots of parking space.
