  1. This shrine is still in the process of being beautifully refurbished.Located in Songkhla’s Chinatown it is of course, a Chinese Temple, filled with beauty and colour.Entry is free and it is well worth a visit

  2. It’s located in the heart of the old town. It’s in fact a Chinese temple and a very nice one. Opposite of the temple square there’s some old photos giving you a glimpse of the past. No visit to Songkhla can go without a visit to this temple.

  3. On of the oldest Chinese temple in Songkhla town.Walk around the small lanes and admire the old houses under conservation…………. You’ll find many small localstalls selling local delicacies and foods. Great for photo taking buff.

  4. Located at a very narrow street filled with eateries, shops and other temples. Bright and colourful entrance. Temple is clean and well kept. There is a short history write up and pictures of the temple once you walk and a stage for events and performances. Across the stage is the actual main hall where all deities are. Coming from an Asian country, I have been to many similar Temples for a visit thus it was not must go for me but made a visit since we were in the area. It would be nice for tourist who have not been to an actual Chinese temple to have a feel of the actual atmosphere of a temple. The most interesting part of this temple trip was the little noodle stall which was beneath the stage. Did not try the noodles but it was captivating to see people eating beneath the stage in little benches. You definitely have to be able to bend low enough or duck walk to get beneath the stage and not forget at any point in time that you are below a stage (especially after a meal when you would automatically stand up after a meal to leave)

  5. For a “taste of LOCAL CULTURE” this shrine recognises the original Chinese migrant population!! It is in the “Historic District”– which is an interesting place as well! This is yet another example of Thailand’s historical “welcoming spirit” towards immigrants!!

  6. Songkhla is an old city with several historical and ruin sites including this chinese architecture shrine where held local belief and draw tourists for being sacred vows to ancient holy buddhas, chinese god and goddess.

  7. This is a small Chinese temple located in the centre of the Old Town district. There’s not really that much to make it memorable or remarkable and if you’ve seen Chinese temples in other cities around the world you’re unlikely to find this one that impressive. A quick visit is sufficient.

  8. The shrine in the heart of Songkhla. It opens at 7 a.m. You should visit here and pay homage and ask for luck. It looks Chinese style mixed with local Thai. There are famous morning breakfast restaurant around here and there are a lot of dessert shops, too.
